hello everyone,

I am quite concerned with my application. I sent in my app in May, 2014 along with my work permit, but still have not received AOR yet and ECAS does not work as well. I called in last time, the agent provided me with a file number starting XF not F. Then I called in yesterday again. They were not able to find out if my work permit is properly attached with my application even I provided them with my work permit receipt #. I just want to know if it is normal coz I see that most people on the list got their AORs, and were able to check their work permit status via their receipt #. Thanks!

Hi there. I don't know if this is helpful or not, but our app was received on May 12th, 2014 and I got my AOR on August 7th but I still cannot log into ECAS and I know a lot of people who applied around the same time as me can't log into ECAS yet either. I would not be overly concerned yet-- everyone's application process goes a little differently and not everyone even gets an AOR. You may even get a different result if you call and talk to a different call center agent. Keep your head up! Take care.

So many good news to share so wondering where to begin. We were Aug 2, 2013 applicant.

Ok, received my DM email yesterday (received by spouse) and were so happy.

And today, I received the landing interview date (etobicoke center) which is just next week!

Thanks everybody in the forum for their support and lot of thanks to God!

August 8 2013 applicant here Ohhh Im happy to hear that I hope my DM will be next week yaaayy

Im also may 2014 applicant and I got aor in october after about 7 calls and 3 online case enquiry request...the x I am told is assigned when they open package and enter contents into their system...it changes to F when the have checked for signatures and correct versions of form and application is ready to be reviewed....if u still have file number with x and you changed address since filing they may have sent package back for a missing signature or something but the post office is not allowed to forward to new address...keep calling them about the pr form...they will brush u off if you ask about the work permit without checking

Thanks for your information. I just called in again, they said my sponsorship application is in the system with a file number starting with T, but cannot find anything relating to my owp. I am 100% sure my lawyer has sent it in with my application. Did you check if they have received your owp? They asked me to call back in 4 months if I still have not receive my owp. =

She's going to the service canada office today to renew her SIN (or issue a new one? not sure if they renew it or not)...

Hopefully it goes smoooooth

My partner took her OWP and her passport to service Canada at the Sinclair center downtown Vancouver and they were able to renew her expired SIN.

All that she showed them was her passport and her OWP ..and voila! No fee's involved for this


just giving you guys info incase anyone was going to go get their sin soon

Lets say theoretically we had a SIN and OHIP (or any health insurance) before, but that that expired while we were waiting in processing. When we get OWP and renew SIN, will we have to wait 3 months for OHIP to kick in again?

If anyone gets their AIP email please post with your application received date.

The processing date for stage 1 on the CIC website (August 28) hasn't been updated since December 17th, and I'm wondering if that's because they've shifted resources to processing the Stage 2. We are late September applicants and it will be interesting to see whether we get OWP or AIP first.

At least if we get OWP will be enough to get a driver's license here in Alberta, or so I was told by AMA!

Wow, congrats. So just a recap, after you got your aip and owp, you received a DM via email? And then a physical mail sent to you for the interview or both correspondences were both via EMAILS? Just wanna make sure that i dont miss any physical mails.
