They can be really awkward about this. Tell them you need a letter for your husband stating he is qualified to apply as a permanent resident and it must be addressed to him stating this. Tell them he needs it to apply for health insurance as they will not accept your copy of the email stating you qualify to sponsor him as proof. They will hem and haw but eventually send him one. I had to do the same thing to get mine. It won't be accepted as AIP even though technically it is.

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law
Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.
In order to continue processing your application, further information is required. You must complete/submit the following to this office:

uci - My name
> Medical: Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical
examination. Instructions are being sent in a separate email. This must be received at this office by: 2015/01/22
All requested documents/information and a copy of this correspondence must be submitted within the timeframes specified above (formatted as “year/month/day”). If you are unable to provide any or all of the requested documents/information, please explain why they are not available. Failure to provide the required documents may result in the refusal of your application for permanent residence. Should this occur, no further consideration will be given to your request for permanent residence unless a new application, including fees, is submitted.

I don't get the BOLD letters should i ask my brother sister and parents to send me their medical???
I think it is just asking for your medical. But it does say you will be receiving instructions also.

Sounds like your DM is coming!!! :)

I am not 100% clear on the process either, but it sounds like many provinces DON'T accept just the AIP to apply for Health Care. I have to do some research on this myself. Sorry I can't be of more help.....

do your own medical immediately. Unless they are coming with you on the applicaiton they don't do the medical. You will get another letter which you need for your medical. If you don't get it within a week phone them. it has a number on it the doctor needs to do your medical. ACS is blowing in the wind as even after doing all this you have months of waiting for DM. It is good news though. We redid medical in June and still nothing. Good luck. Crazy thing is in spousal class any medical problems you have are overlooked for DM due to the finanical burden to the medical system rule not applying to spousal class. Wacko rules.

Apparently 95% of the time CIC only sends AIP through email. So you may have to fight tooth and nail with the Provincial Health office to get health coverage. Some Ontario Service Centres don't accept email AIP, other locations do. So if you are in Ontario, you have two choices. One is to keep going to different Ontario Service office until you find one that accepts your email AIP. Or two: Appeal to OHIP Review board. Submit your copies of AIP email and explain the situation you experienced with local Ontario Office. You will get an official approval for coverage after 6 weeks time.

Butting in. There is no snail mail. you print out what you have and take it to or mail it too the medical people depending on your province. In BC you can fax it.

Hi Guys,

since the number of people who know about this page or the fb group is low, has the page owner on fb ever considered running a fb ad, even an ad in one of the free newspapers (metro, etc...).
I think trying to reach out to other fellow inland applicants might be very useful in case we want to lobby to get them to process our files in an efficient way.

No. The email you received is all you will receive. Print it out and that is what you will use for proof of AIP.
