Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.
In order to continue processing your application, further information is required. You must complete/submit the following to this office:
uci - My name
> Medical: Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical
examination. Instructions are being sent in a separate email. This must be received at this office by: 2015/01/22
All requested documents/information and a copy of this correspondence must be submitted within the timeframes specified above (formatted as “year/month/day”). If you are unable to provide any or all of the requested documents/information, please explain why they are not available. Failure to provide the required documents may result in the refusal of your application for permanent residence. Should this occur, no further consideration will be given to your request for permanent residence unless a new application, including fees, is submitted.

I am sure by then we will be at 20 months since it just increases and increases. I really REALLY REALLY REALLY hate Chris Alexander. I know, I know. Hate is a strong word. It is a strong word that barely expresses the anger I feel.
I'm so sorry to hear But even if it's not a full AIP, you have the sponsorship approval, and it's still something. And I'm pretty sure that someone got OWP in this phase. I don't have the time now to track it back, but it was someone from these guys:ACS said:So, I have some bad/sad news. Looks like some of you were right....unfortunately in this case. Despite 3-4 CIC call center reps saying otherwise....the one I got today confirmed that we do NOT have AIP.
Guess I will need to ask my name on the spreadsheet to go back to blue
Yes, I am approved as a Sponsor. But No, my husband does NOT have AIP she told me. She told me to call back in APRIL if we don't yet have it.
The only positive I can see is that now at least we have time to send my husband's updated Passport info to Vegreville before they process his OWP.
So disappointed. My husband is in a horrible mood now. We were job hunting, and planning.....I even picked out some dance classes I wanted to take with the extra money we would have coming in when my hubby gets his new job.....I was thinking we will be able to get my son some nice birthday and Xmas gifts this year....
She said that is how long they could take to issue it, and if we don't have it by then we can call again..... :'( :'( :'(28january said:I'm so sorry to hear that ACS... but APRIL?? Did she say why so far away?
That seems odd, why would she ask you to check back in April, 6 months from now. Usually Sponsorship+Initial assessment = AIP, are both processed the same day, but in some cases a few days/weeks later (some officers ask more relationship proof after sponsorship approval). I'm sorry you have this information from CIC, but I'm pretty sure she's wrong on the time you'd have to check back, your initial assessment or relationship assessment shouldn't take long.ACS said:So, I have some bad/sad news. Is it a relationship concern? Or background concern? I thought AIP has nothing to do with background checks. Maybe you can ask MP to pressure CIC to issue your spouse OWP because he has got sponsorship approval, UNLESS there is a relationship concern that they are trying to delay your file.ACS said:She said that is how long they could take to issue it, and if we don't have it by then we can call again..... :'( :'( :'(
I'm really sorry to hear that. *hugs* Can you explain to me how its possible that you are approved to sponsor but you DONT have aipACS said:So, I have some bad/sad news.
