Nov 18 2013 applicant here, I just saw that my wife's ecas is showing medical received. does this mean there is progress and that they won't be asking to redo medical? or it's just another meaningless notice by CIC.

he's probably checking the application status of the person sponsoring, the applicant will probably only show received.

@ponga and concerning extending the OWP and implied status. in terms of implied status it is very clear from CIC website that once you apply to extend your status you get implied status which would automatically allow you to keep working. there is nothing that states that you can't keep working...

the way I get it is that the 4 months of processing time is for the people who will be applying for owp along with their sponsorship application past December 22nd.
