I don't think calling CIC will help you get you the landing interview.
If you are really concerned, I think it's better to contact your MP office and let them find out what's going on with your file.
That seems to speed up the process a little bit.
And why are you waiting for them to tell you to pay RPRF? The AIP clearly states that you should pay it as soon as you can.
I would just pay it right now and send the receipt to the CPC.

There is nothing "going on" with my file. I just didn't know if it was supposed to take this long to set a landing appointment and whether there were other alternatives.

It's definitely weird that you are still not getting the landing interview e-mail 2 weeks after the DM.
You can call CIC and ask them for other alternatives, but I think I know what they are going to say...
"Call back in 2 weeks if you still don't hear anything"

Nov 18 2013 applicant here, I just saw that my wife's ecas is showing medical received. does this mean there is progress and that they won't be asking to redo medical? or it's just another meaningless notice by CIC.

I received DM about 2 weeks ago and was told my local office (Etobicoke) would contact me to schedule a landing appt. However, they have not yet done so. Should I contact CIC? Also I haven't paid RPRF yet, so maybe that is what is holding me up? I was going to wait for them to contact me first before paying RPRF.

Is it possible for me to just drive to the border and "land" there? I think I had heard that that was possible here.

Vancouver office guys must be working their azz off cuz I received the landing letter BEFORE the DM letter.

Both DM and landing interview were sent by e-mail for us.

Omg guys I just saw someone from the Inland Sponsorship Petitioners FB page say they got AIP and their application was received on DECEMBER 20th! Our application received on December 24th, I think I am going to go crazy from the anxiety/excitement!!

So happy for you December applicants, but what is going on with November applicants - so frustrating! We called CIC and they said they know nothing about how applications are processed. What a surprise.

I am happy for December people too!
I am october 29th applicant, still nothing........called CIC and i was told there is no update or request for new information for me case.....errrr so frustrated...

Not true. I got my landing letter from Etobioke on March 17 and landed on 24th. So that's not even 4 weeks.

When we landed back in February it was 5 days after DM. So they are slower for sure.
