My wife applied for Pr July 29 2013. We got an email on Sept 11 saying, She meets the requirements to apply for pr. and her work permit application has been approved and is valid until Sept 11 2017. We are so happy we are finally past the first stage. We are now wanting to go on a holiday and are wondering if it will be a problem. We travelled alot while she just had a student permit before we submitted our application.

In order to extend her study permit she needs to enroll in school, if she won't enroll for school, your option is to apply to change the conditions of her stay as visitor and she cannot attend school any longer.
Thanks for your suggestion, but she had enrollment in school for next year, but her intention to carry study is low. If i go with study permit extension and she will get study permit extension but unable to continue so is that hurt her inland sonsership application with OWP, or its better to put up visitor visa application.

Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestion

Is this an AIP we're seeing? I cannot believe my eyes! Congratulations!

As for the travel, this question gets asked here all the time. If she has a work permit, there is likely not going to be an issue, but it is always up to the officer at the border. It is safer to travel if she's from a visa exempt country. If you are going to go on holiday outside of the country, the recommendations are to go for a short period of time (2 weeks), travel together and, if going to the US, to travel by land.

Congratulations!!! Can't believe someone actually received AIP last week, just a shame that the update say working on July 30, and this is July 29. But all great news... hope to see more and more this coming week!

Answering, it depends on the status your wife have, the country she's from, and where you going.
Most of people crossing to US by car went down just fine! If you're flying and she's from a country that needs entering visa to Canada it might be a bad choice. Since she will have the work permit, she won't be on implied status anymore, she'll be on a worker status inside Canada, but to re-enter it all depends on having a valid entering visa or being from a visa exempt country.

With the new regulations, she needs to stay in school, if she won't be attending is better to apply for a visitor's record , her OWP application and her PR application won't be affected and she will be able to keep her Alberta Health care.

I sponsor my spouse along with OWP and she will enjoy the implied status once her study permit expired by the end of September. As her visa expired by the end of this month along with her Alberta health care.
What you people suggest. Is it wise to apply for visitor visa or she also has option to extend her study permit (but less chances to continue the study) to extend alberta health coverage. If any of this visa extension rejected than whats its impact on her sponsorship application with OWP. Any suggestion in this regard highly appreciated.
So my question is can i go for visitor visa or study permit or remain silent and enjoy implied status.

It's been more than 8 months after I got the AIP. The call center agent just told me that CIC is still waiting for my security checks (In-Canada), and that I can't do anything about it but continue being patient... everything has a damn limit!

can we still aplly outland..... if we cancel our inland application
Yes you can apply outland after you get a confirmed withdrawal of your inland application. The only thing is that you would have to resubmit a new police report and a new medical test (depending on how far along the process you were inland).

The form is IMM5710.

Make sure to write in bold letters across the top of the first page:
`OWP submitted with In-Canada Spousal Sponsorship application. Process after AIP'

If CIC were to process your OWP before you have first stage approval (AIP) on your PR application, it would be denied, because it is the AIP itself that qualifies you for the OWP.

Congratulations to you and your partner ! This looks like an A.I.P =D

Finally we hear better news for #Inlandsponsor after months of struggle.
What is happening now could be due to recent explosion of applicant's anger that brought attention and pressure to CIC. Thousands of tweets, hundres of signs on petitions and reports from major news media like Toronto star and CBC finally brought our voice to public.

I see this is a great effort to earn the right we entitle ! This also tells us that as a future permanent resident of liberal nation, we shall be encouraged to claim our rights and have faith in righteousness.

I hope more people will join to keep CIC alerted !
