Hi Forum friends, anyone can tell me how does the OWP arrive if you submitted this with Inland sponsorship? Do you get it in the snail mail or via email along with the AIP confirmation? Hoping to get AIP this week or next, and will need to renew my SIN number right away as soon as I get the OWP so was wondering how long it takes after AIP...
Also, I am not on the spreadhseet, just realized that, not sure If I can just add myself or if someone controls that one? Applied July 31, 2013, AOR August 27th, 2013, medicals submitted along with OWP with application. Police Checks not submitted as I have to wait for first stage approval according to CIC.

Hi,

It typically takes 5 business days for your OWP to arrive in the mail after you receive AIP. I received AIP on Friday August 8th and received OWP in the mail Friday August 15th.

Another week and no sign of AIP... sigh...

I got the e-mail back from my MP's office last week saying that they sent a letter (or e-mail) to Alexander's office but didn't get any reply back... CIC and Alexander's office are like a house of steel no one can penetrate..

I am just going to delete this url from my favorite bookmarks, "try" to forget about this for a while and log back in 2-3 weeks. I'm so sick and tired of getting disappointed day after another...

I don't thinwhy they are talking about PR, they actually mean Citizenship Process.. they are working on the backlogs and have been proudly spreading the words about this everywhere, but they never mention Inland Sponsorship delays since February anywhere.

No they are not....that's exactly what I meant...they are working on backlogs for citizenship so that must be why they don't get any of the applications done! Just what I said before ;D

Hi Jen1975. I receivd yr msg and sorry for not replying. Thanks for the congratulations, but its not done yet bcz my husband is not here, for family reasons he went to his home country and will be back the 24th of September.

Anyway, i went to the appointment but my landing was protsponed to the 1st of October 2014 bcz the presence of the sponsor husband or common law Partner is obligation according to immigration law.

This is my update and i will keep you updated in case my husband is back before that time.

The lady that did the interview with me said that in case yr husband is back before i can call them and they will Schedule an earlier appointment for us. thank you and wish you all the best.

I don't know how many of you read this text, but it's pure true. It does feel like a punishment.

I legally worked in Canada until my visa expired and I enter this long wait to what I thought would be 6 months, now it has been 11 months, and I am denied to work when there's thousands of foreign workers in Canada that does not have the ties that I have with this country, being my husband a Canadian citizen by birth, that paid a very expensive government service that is still not even started.

Despite that, bad enough for our financial life, I can not get provincial health care or a document with my husbands last name or a driver's license. So in other words, we can not buy a new car, or rent/buy the house we want, we can not move to another province, we can not have a baby, I can not drive, I can not present legal documents with my married name, I can not travel to any events outside the country (like weddings or births), all I can do is sit and wait. For 6 months I was prepared, I was definitely not prepared for 11 months so far, it's mentally challenging.

In a governmental view here, all I see is stupidity, having that many people sitting and waiting inside Canada, when we could be out there working, paying taxes, buying goods, and not getting into debts.

It's very hard to believe that no one has heard since August 8th when I received AIP.
This is a sad situation CIC got going on here...
