yes, you want the access to information act, which costs $5. the applicant will need to sign a consent form for the sponsor to order on their behalf. from my understanding, the free set of notes (freedom of info?) doesn't give full details of the applicant's file.Maxician said:Hello there!
Has anyone submitted a request to get information about your process under the Access to Information Act (ATIP)??
In my case,ACS said:Does the AIP email go to the Sponsor and the DM email to the Applicant?
Isn't there some sort of approval email even before the official AIP or DM? And if so does that go to Sponsor or Applicant?
And I would assume the OWP goes to the Applicant? Or does it just come in the mail?
I check my email wayyy more often than my husband, but just curious!
Thanks!!
p.s. I'm thinking I should inform my employer I will need a random day (or 2) off for when (if?) we receive our AIP and DM....lol...will say when they see me screaming and jumping up and down that means I need the rest of the day off to celebrate!! ;D ...thinking hopefully towards the future...lol
My apologies. I believe I just got the freedom of info or whatever it is called. I didn't pay anything, so I don't believe I received information under the access to information.Maxician said:And what kind information did you get?

Congrats! I'm waiting for my letter as well. I am wondering, are you landing in etobicoke? I'd like to know for a timeline point of view as I am landing there as well.5hr3wd said:Hey guys my lawyer received my landing letter today, my appointment's on 15th August.
I have a question regarding this, she forwarded me the scanned copy of the letter, is that going to suffice or would the landing office require the original letter?
Thank you!

God be with us said:Hi ACS,
The sponsor receives an email for approval of Sponsorship. The applicant receives an email for confirming the eligibility for becoming a PR. This is AIP.
The applicant receives the approval for OWP in the email and a formal work permit document then arrives in mail. DM email is sent to the applicant.
Take care
Congrats. That's a DM.Hilo said:just logged in and this is what I see Permanent Residence
