hey @ Rifat! GREAT! you got your medicals!! isn't it better when you dont have to chase your lawyer for info? :)
well... now that they have received your hubby's medicals you have to wait to get DM. (for me, was exactly 50 days between medicals and DM) but DM is the end of stage 2 means it can take up to 8 months (your timeline says that you have until June to get DM. and after you get DM, you have to wait for landing letter, which can take a while more. (im still waiting for my landing letter and supposely Montreal is one of the fastest!) the time fram between DM and Landing letter depends on your office...Vancouver for example, is known for being one of the slowest ones...

Good luck! hope good news arrive soon!

God bles

Hey MaxLet,

Thanks yes it is a great news even great that hubby called CIC today and they told him he should hear from CIC within 8 weeks of receiving medicals. So 1 week has already passed so we should hear something by mid June or sooner I'm hoping.

I hope you get your landing letter soon too. It is a long we have been in and waiting for it to end soon from CIC.
God bless :)

:o Hello All.

When checking ecas under principal applicant it indicates: In process
We received your application for permanent residence on April 15, 2013.
We started processing your application on January 23, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

I was wondering, based on the above, if anyone could please, based on your experience, give us a rough estimate of how much longer it might be until DM. Thank you so much in advance.

Congratulations to all of those with wonderful news, and God Bless us All.

Rifat thank you so very much for your response! I was so very happy to read that you are finally making progress and that you are almost at the end of this process.
Despite trying very hard to stay busy,on occasion the waiting just gets to you :-(

Kaira1 congratulations! Your application has moved along quickly, hoping that you get your landing info soon. Keep us posted!

Don't mean to burst your bubble but the average wait time between stage 1 (including medicals being completed) and stage 2 (DM) is approximately 8 months, not 8 weeks. CIC will usually inform you to wait until 8 month period has passed before calling them. Our wait time between AIP and DM is 7 months today.

Hang in there.

Migrain I am hoping to hear sooner, but you are probably right. Especially with having to redo my Medical
(and my FBI clearance was also not done and included with my application, despite my rep.claiming that he sent it in with my application originally).

Hi all,

Haven't been on here for awhile. Been buzy working ect its been great getting back to working life. Was very happy to hear from a immigration officer in Vancouver who said my application has been completed and she will try to get me a landing date before my medical expired. She pulled though and I land in Calgary on April 23. So happy, she saved me $$ on not having to fly to Vancouver as well as not having to re-do my medical. Cant wait until this whole process is over, what a slog its been. :)

And it's official!

We took a day trip down to the border, grabbed some lunch at Olive Garden while we were there, then crossed back over and my wife is now officially a landed Canadian permanent residence!!

Congrats on the landing! but it seems to me that you are posting in the wrong threat. You seem to be an outlander (living in canada but file app outland) Just for people to know: FLAGPOLING (landing in the frontier) is only for OUTLANDERS.
Inlanders are force to wait for an appointement at the local office.
