I just got my email for AIP and OWP! Was NOT expecting this at all. Huge breath of relief, HUGE.

So, it's been taking about two weeks to get the permit in the mail?

Oh, and I can just use the AIP email to sign up for healthcare?

I'M SO EXCITED AND HAPPY!!! ;D

Congratulations!!! Did your AIP email come from Vegreville or Mississauga?

Question on Inland spousal application, the IMM 0008:
question 4: "Immigration Office requested for processing this application"

I am applying as Inland applicant for my spouse who is from India and has been here in Montreal on a Visitor visa. I am in great confusion here to specify the immigration office as "New Delhi" or "Montreal" or "other city in Canada"

Please let me know what needs to be filled in the application for the "Immigration Office requested for processing this application"?

If you are just applying then I believe it should actually be Mississauga. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

If you are applying from within Canada , then will be the second on this list.

We finally received AIP today!!!! :D However, I am totally taken aback in that they asked for fingerprints to be done. I’m not sure why – hubby has only ever lived in the UK and has a clean criminal history (we also have a very very straightforward application). Meds and police check have already been sent in, so I am hopeful this is the last piece of the puzzle!

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best service to use (specifically around the GTA in Ontario) – I know they list three different services on their website, but I thought I would put feelers out to the wealth of knowledge on here!
And if anyone has any insight into why they may be asking for prints I would be super appreciative! Phonetically, his last name is very common, but the spelling is very unique. He also has a fairly unique first name as well, so I’m totally puzzled!

Thanks! And best of luck (and patience!) to all those still in limbo!!! xx

Maybe you can call CIC and ask why but they'll probably just tell you to get fingerprints done. Worth a try though.
