Morning all good news I got AIP so stoked right now. Got email today at 8:38am pst

This is AIP right:

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident
status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. However, a final
decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident
have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you
and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not
applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you
and all your family members have met these requirements.
You may now apply for an open work permit, which will allow you to work in the occupation and
location of your choice. You may also apply for a study permit. If applying for a study permit
please ensure you include a letter from the educational institution you plan to attend. The letter
should outline the type of course or program for which you are registered, the start date and the
expected completion date. To obtain the correct forms please visit the Citizenship and
Immigration Canada Internet web site at [http://www.cic.gc.ca] or contact the Immigration Call
Centre at the number indicated below.

Did you receive a letter saying that your file got transfer to CPC -M ? Call center agent told me that only if we get that letter will be the only way to know . But yeah , that's weird . Maybe we all got transfer to CPC M , to bad for my additional documents I sent last week to Vegreville . :(

My guess is nothing at all. The AIP is merely the approval of the sponsor, which seems like the easiest of the 2 stages of approval required.

CIC takes all the credit in whatever they did to get this member AIP in less than 7 months....which is awesome!

I'm not sure why it was quicker I did send everything together Police checks from my home country & Rcmp check & fingerprints/medical/fee's.

We kept it simple on our app only a few important photo's of the trips & activities we did together, pics with family.
Facebook pages showing we were in a relationship
2 x Stat declarations from friends confirming our relationship is genuine & continuing
A few birthday cards & christmas cards addressed to both of us from family
Joint bank account statement
Rental leases for last 2 years
Forms from my work listing my sponsor as a dependant took get her extended benefits through my work
Then just filed out the questions they asked for if we didn't have a answer we explained on a separate sheet of paper.

Did not send skype/phone/email logs

I was hoping to get AIP & DM at the same time. But hey I'm not complaining here just so happy it's nearly over

No we did not get a email or any word about CPC-M taking anything over. I'm not to sure cause the AOR email we got last year came from CPC-V. But when this email came up it had CPC-M on it which i thought was odd too

And my ECAS has been updated to medical received.

Hi guys!

I just want to share the good news... last friday was my landing date in London CIC. It took us 15-20 minutes and then yay finally its all over.
Thank you guys for all the support. This site help me a lot especially to all my questions and doubts.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Wishing everyone a nice long weekend.. :D

Guys I just called again , an agent just confirmed to me that my file was recently received at CPC-M , so any additional documents need to be sent there .

How will you know if your application is transferred from CPC-V to CPC-M??

So much for this (from the CIC website, discussing the recent change from CPC-V to CPC-M):

`Procedure

Any SCLPC applications that CPC-V has not commenced processing will be routed internally to CPC-M. Upon receipt of these cases, CPC-M will send a letter to the sponsor advising that their application was transferred from CPC-V to CPC-M for assessment and processing.
