We have called. About three weeks ago. They told us that they hadn't finished processing my sponsor's file yet, and all we could do is wait. HOWEVER, they did ask for med exam as well as some other documents. I asked the guy and he told me that it was strange to have them ask for my meds before AIP, though not unheard of.

This is when it gets INTERESTING..

My husband called them yesterday morning and the agent said "IF YOU DON'T GET AIP IN THREE MONTHS, CALL US BACK"..

I'm like WHAAAAATTT ??? So you are telling me because you screwed up with my application I NEED TO PUT MY LIFE ON HOLD FOR ANOTHER, GOD KNOWS HOW LONG, to get AIP.. SERIOUSLY.. I'M SO SO FREAKING MAD RIGHT NOW... I HAVE POWER OVER NOTHING HERE Daizey and my advise to you is to call CIC and stay on the line until you get to talk to an agent.. it has been longer since the time you applied and maybe the same thing that happened to me, just happened to you as well.. I HOPE I'M WRONG.. but call them and insist...

Egads Cirene. I'm so sorry. I certainly hope they put it together faster than that.

I kept wondering if they had lost ours at some point but I'm guessing they haven't because of the request for documents.

I wouldn't worry too much about it at this moment. Or you could try calling in and figure it out using automated system.
I think, once they start processing our applications, we should be able to track something online.

I suppose you are right!! It will not change anything, though.
I know that they have my file somewhere because I have submitted my OWP application in december and got a letter from them by snail mail last week which confirmed that they received it and on the letter head they had the same file number as in the AOR email for my husband. so that is already a good sign, eh?

Just checked mail box abd received letter from vancouver office!!!!! Landing Feb 18!!!!!!!

I got worried for a while since cic told me it'll take 6 months yesterday :-\

I have a question.. Does my husband need to go with me sinve he's the one sponsoring me? It doesnt says on the letter and it actually says it is strongly recommended that only persons with appointments attend. In this case my husband is not scheduled

CONGRATS ... Wishing u good luck with ur landing interview and u have to bring ur Husband with u for landing interview
I also heard Vancouver office very slow for landing interview but now i am feeling they r doing good job because guri and u all guys received ur landing interview just with in 40 days after DM ...Congrats guys

I also sent them a mail a week ago about my new job and relocation to BC from ON. Hope to hear from them soon as well.

Maybe cause you are special that's why they are probably gonna process you while working on your sponsor! ;D
Maybeeeeeeeeee = AIP + OWP + DM at the same time hehe
If not, I don't see why would they ask for your meds + other docs when your sponsor havent even got AIP yet since CIC loves making people wait lol
Anyways, we'll all be waiting for you to suddenly announce to us you got the whole package approved & completed!

We just got ours late last week and hope you all will be getting your first stage approval soon in the coming months and the permanent residence of course.

But it seems like things have slowed down lately... or only people who are not in this community got their AIP...
