I applied from Toronto but recently moved to Victoria for a new job (contract).
If I receive my AIP, I will have to fly back to Toronto for the interview.
Does anybody think I can do the interview in Victoria or Vancouver?
I tried calling CIC but waiting time is 30 minutes and I'm afraid that if I change my address, my application will get delayed...

Hello,

Did anybody hear about cases when the permanent residence status was denied during the landing interview (after receiving AIP & DM - "We are pleased to advice that processing of you application has been completed, etc.)?

Have you ever heard about negative decisions after being invited to the appointment?

Thanks

hello everybody !Congratulations to all who have got good news in the mail today!
keep smiling all the others, our time will come as well.

I jave a question, what are you calling the 'ecas' and when is it possible to access the infomation contained in this? i nly have the nr CIC stated in the AOR and when I connect to it it does not say much details. it is very general, just that they have received my app. could anybody give me more infos about the 'ecas' acces?
Thanks in advance and have a wonderfull day everybody

Ecas is where you check your pr application online. You can do so if you received your 8 digit UCI number via this link: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas

and you probably will only see "application received" and will stay that way for many, many months until you get AIP and decision made, it will explain a little if you check it out.

In the words of Spongebob: it's the best daaayyyyy eveerrrrrrr!!!! Best day ever!

We got AIP today! :D going to set up the medical for my man ASAP. We are very happy and excited! And now that we can get his OWP things will start to feel a little normal again!

I have 8 digit UCI number but it always says they are not able identify me.
I tried putting my information and my wife's information, but either worked. Any idea why?

Have you tried just typing in the numbers without anything else? It should work. Also make sure the rest if the fields are typed in properly.

Hey Line.a

It says all fields are required, that is UCI number, last name, birthday and place of birth.

Yay for americanadians!!! Just like us! My hubby is US too! And our received date was May 30th!! I think I am going to burst from excitement!!!

QUESTION!

For those that put in a OWP permit AFTER AIP was received.....or for anyone else that might know.....will a letter or something be sent stating the OWP application was approved and then the OWP will be mailed.....or will the OWP just be mailed and that's that??????we are going stir crazy waiting....OWP sent Dec 27th, but AIP was received back in November.
