I have received an email from CIC. It says that my application for PR has been transferred to the local office for further assessment.

What does it mean?

I received AIP and OWP on Dec. 31, 2013.

Do you have any red-flag ?! When they transfer the applications to a local office means that they found something unusual on your application, maybe you fail to provide enough evidence that you are in a genuine relationship?!

As far as I know when CIC transfers the file is normally because an interview is being/will be required.

I thought that all Inland applications are eventually transferred to a local office, since that's how we land. Unlike Outlanders, we can't flagpole.

wow.. that is great news that they moved fast all of a sudden.. they skipped the whole month of February for the update!!!! I'm getting excited right now... They received my application on April 10 and started processing April 19.. can't wait to see the email on my husband's email account!!!!!!

We sent in my hub's OWP on December 27th following AIP letters. Will CIC update that they've received the application for the OWP and when its mailed out on application status portion that we can log into and view?

i have sent mine in december and did not get any letter or confirmation. did you hear anything since then?

After AIP, can immigration make a interview? Because of red flags ?

I though, that just happens before AIP.

Interviews or transfer can happen at any stage.

Usually before AIP means verifying relationship. After AIP means verification on information about the applicant.

Haha, in my case, it's just wondering when the Landing interview letter will arrive...

BTW, my wife's work permit arrived earlier this week, and just checked the status online, and it also updated to Decision Made.

My wife just happened to be at Scarborough Town Centre, so she went to check with a service agent who says they typically can take 3-6 months.
