Greetings all :D

My wife got an email today saying that they have received the documents and gave her a UCI and application number.
I assume this is the AOR?

That's why they make you go for X-rays... they check your lungs to see if you have TB :)

The doctor asked you because they always do.

Well inactive TB is unlikely to show on an X-ray, so i'm guessing they test the blood for that, as well as HIV etc. But it was more the phrasing that amused me.
Dr: "Hi how are you? Had any TB recently?"
Didn't ask me about any other diseases.

Guys I did my medicals on Monday, and I'm sure the X-ray are for TB .and on the lab they took 2 samples of blood and 1 of urine . I asked the nurse about why 2 samples , and she told me that one is for HIV ,the other for Syphilis ,she didn't say anything about why the urine test ,but I'm guessing it is to find any kind of doping in your system , not sure.

I'd like to take poll of those who have received AIP and DM within one month of one another:

1) during the process, did the applicant leave Canada to the US?
2) during the process, did the applicant leave Canada to another country other than the US?

Trying to determine if an applicant left Canada during the process and returned without being denied entry whether any foreign visits would delay the process in receiving DM (given the security checks required prior to DM).

Thanks

CIC UPDATE :D :D
Down to 10 months! and processing march 16th ::) how exciting ;D

YaY :D Good to know.

Another question, I sent in my OWP at the same time, will I get a separate email confirming that the acknowledged that application?

Also working related, since I cannot work till all these applications are approved, would I be able to work if a workplace apply for an LMO for me? Or can that not be done since I send in an application for OWP?
I came to Canada on a visitor visa, which expire next month, but as far as I understand I am on implied status now due to the OWP I have send in, right?

We sent in my hub's OWP on December 27th following AIP letters. Will CIC update that they've received the application for the OWP and when its mailed out on application status portion that we can log into and view?

Awesome! :D It's great to see that CIC is trying to catch up!

This weekend is our first anniversary as a married couple. It feels like it happened yesterday! :) It would be a nice gift to get AIP/DM before then, but if it doesn't, that's okay too. :)

:o!!! is this just AIP or also DM??

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident
status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in ETOBICOKE, ON will contact you concerning your permanent
resident status.

Please note: At the time of your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will
be required to present the original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration
Centre. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be
made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the
confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your
passport or identity documents.

Congrats..
That is definitely DM… Hope you hear something back from Etobicoke… We are still waiting…

Good luck..
Go celebrate
