We got our AIP and OWP today! (Jan 13)

Wow what an amazing feeling! Just last night I was commenting to my partner about how fast they seem to be whipping through the Feb. applications, and then in the middle of a really crappy work day today he texted a dozen smiley faces and a lot of exclamation marks my way saying "CHECK YOUR EMAIL!" I was in class but definitely let out a squeal when I read it!

For reference: Sent Mar 15 / AOR Mar 27 / Meds and Police check sent in with app / OWP sent in with app

Good luck to the Feb/March applicants! It's coming!

Hello everyone, and happy 2014!!

I haven't posted much recently, so I would like to congratulate everyone for receiving good news in the last few weeks .

Yesterday I saw on my CIC profile that my status says "Medical results have been received". Does this mean that I don't have to redo them? I did mine at the end of 2012 and sent them together with my application. I was afraid they were going to ask me to do them again, but this looks like they have accepted them, doesn't it?

Also, I am wondering how long it usually takes from this step to DM. I am getting quite nervous, not having heard much since I got AIP in November.

But yay 2014! Soon we will all be permanent residents

Just to let people know my ECAS hasn't changed since AIP, it just says "application received", so don't despair if you don't see anything updated.

I contacted my doctors office today and I am making them resend my Medicals, they might have expired now, but regardless, CIC says they never got it, so I am going down this avenue 1ST before I redo them.
@Hilo, last time I checked, applications transferred to Edmonton had a queue line of 8 months to a year, I am relieved that they didn't sent mine here, when was your app transferred?

You should order your GCMS notes, honestly, to see what the case officer has said about your file. I would think they are questioning your relationship with your partner. But read your notes first before anything, so you have an idea what's going on with your application. You may need to gather more evidence on your relationship with your partner, but again we don't know until you order your notes.

I think I have said this to you previously?

When a file is transferred, that means they are not within the 80% of files being processed according to the timeline on the CIC website. Expect a big delay with this transfer and ask some people in the inland 2012 thread who have experienced the same thing as you.

Hey guys!

So my wife is sponsoring me and she is in the process of finding a new job. Her boss creates a hostile environment and she was going to wait until I can get a job (a few more months at the most) but she is sick and had to call in for a few days and her boss made her feel horrible about it.

What process do I need to complete to let immigration know that she has a new job once she has one? Since she iss intending to hand in her letter of resignation tomorrow (two weeks notice), would this put the application at risk for being denied? Since there's quite a chance she will have a time period of unemployment while she searches for a new job.
