You can apply for SIN when you have OWP, a work visa or depending on where you land (inland), you can get it at landing, or when you get your PR card after you land.

We are still in good contact with our old landlord and I recall him saying that if we had any important mail coming our way, we should contact him and that way he will talk to the new residents! So maybe that would be a good idea! Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me

Also I am extremely eager to get health care. Would there be a chance of me going to the registry and with these two emails printed out and see if they will accept it? We live in Alberta

For all our friends here, if you are married, have your valid stay not "Implied Status" and live in Alberta, you are eligible for Alberta Health Care. I didn't know about this before, though am being sponsored for PR, I have made sure my visitor's record is valid.(I have never lived in any country without a valid status; "personal decision") I applied for one year extension late 2012 and was granted, last November(2013) I applied for two years and it was also granted, so at the moment, I have Alberta Health Care till 2015, same applied to Drivers license.

hey guys, im a march 11 applicant, and i just recieve my AIP today january 9, 2014, is an amazing crazy weird exiting feeling, crying and laughing and screaming, they are require just my police check, i sent open work permit and medical, they wrote in the letter i have to send the police background no more later than april 30 2014, or they can refuse my application.

march applicants please be ready this guys are working fast!!!

OMGGGGGG… THSI IS THE BESTFEELING IN A LOOONG TIME….. thank you guys for being there every step go this game. and helping me with all the questions I had. You help me put a good application together.

P.s: I am pleased to say that age difference doesn't matter if you have a real legit relationship and have proof of it. 28 years of difference between hubby and I and we got it….
