OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! I just got the email! THE EMAIL IS HERE!!!!

Both me and my boyfriend got separate emails - his says that he's approved to sponsor me, mine say that processing of my pr application is approved and that Etobicoke office will contact me. Does this mean that we are both done? Both steps are done?

I am so happy I can't type properly. This is the best beginning of 2014. :D :D :D

Holy cow! Things are happening really fast here all of a sudden. It's strange now to see the 2014 Inland thread up now, we're no longer the newbies! :) C'mon CIC! Keep going! :)

Don't worry guys I'm sure most of you will get AOR. It's always a worry when you have sent in your applications, but give them a month or so :)

I sent my application on the 17 of November its been a bit more but just have to endure with patience. To me the hardest is that CIC lost my application for pr as a dependant child 2 years ago and we had to make a whole new application.

Time is of the essense. CIC seems to not care ever.

Congratulations to everyone who is getting closer or finish the process .

;)

Passport Request, would you know how long does it take them to request because I called CIC today and they still havent' updated my ecase.?

I'd expect it to be 4-8 weeks after they get that last document (the PCC letter from the FBI).

Just wanted to drop in and say hi here!
Been reading this thread for a while now.

I have send in my application on the 9th of December 2013 and still waiting for my AOR.

Congrats to all that have received their AIP. A lot of happy people here :D

Guys!! I got AIP :)

It says I meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status! It says we need to do a medical and background checks as well. Now we aren't sure about the background check!? Is that police certificates from where I used to live? (England and Denmark) or just Canada?

It doesn't state anything about paying the other half of the immigration fee as well, which we still need to do obviously?!

Also I can see on the email that they are still having our old address - but changed it on ecas, what should I do in this case?

I am so happy I am shaking guys! I guess it's not DM though since they don't say anything about transferring the file or? :)

We did include a work permit along with the pr application but it doesn't mention anything but being able to apply for it!

I just noticed, your the person that helped me back in April when I had questions about my Visa to come to Canada :D
Thanks again for that help!
