I was wondering if Salsal and/or Lalala tried contacting CIC since their applications have crossed the 11 month mark.
Wow congratulaton for you, that's awesome!!! Hope the CIC will move quicker and quicker on new year 2014. Happy new year guysishy said:Hi Guys,

Congratulation for your hubby for being landed today. Happy new yearjsker said:The hubby landed today.next comes PR card in the mail.
I was surprised at how quick and easy the landing interview was.
I did my applicantion alone as well. I've printed all the guides and followed that step by step. Be calm and everything will be alright. If you need some help ..just ask forMrsMal said:My husband is sponsoring me. I did the application myself and plan to put it in the mail tomorrow. I have checked and double checked, just nervous that I missed something. I have included police certificate, upfront medical exam confirmation, lease, insurance (car/home) banking in both Canada and US, travel itineraries, statutory declarations. I went and got a visitor's visa and included a copy of that and our made a photobook with our pictures. I also included the Right of Permanent Residence Fee since it says this could expedite things.
Several years ago, I sponsored my husband for residency in the States. A lawyer did it for us and the process cost about 7k. I really wanted to avoid that this time around, but I don't want it to bite me in the butt later. I just want to get this over with. I wish I would have done it a year or two ago, we have been splitting our time between US and Canada since 2011, but hadn't decided if we would stay. I did freelance work in the States, now it is going to be tough to sit on my thumbs for 6 to 8 months until I can work. But I guess it beats being apart. Did any of you do your own applications?

It is officially in the mail. Hopefully the wait won't be too long. When I sponsored my husband for a green card in the U.S., the whole process was less than 6 months. Application sent the end of November, interview in April they stamped his passport and gave him a work permit and temporary green card at the interview. Actual green card came in the mail a few weeks later. Then we just had to submit additional paperwork 2 years later to show that we were still married. This process seems so slow. So far my attempts to find an employer to sponsor me have come up empty, I don't know if I can make it a year without workingdanib said:I did my applicantion alone as well.
