Okay, ... it's official. We have our AIP letter and OWP. Both came in today's mail in same envelope.

For the spreadsheet... please add:

AIP - May 10-2013
OWP - May 10-2013 (valid for 1 year)

Medical and Police were sent with application (also OWP with application)

:D :D

Congratulations dawlex!

We're sending off our Inland application tomorrow!! Very nervous and stressed about this whole process, but hopefully once the ball is rolling I will feel better!

I just got realy cold shower! :o

Went to doctor to make appointment for medical and the cost is 300$ for doctor and 429$ for hospital. I don't have health card as I'm not pr,I'm here as a visitor so probably that's the reason for so much money, but again I saw a lot smaller prices here.

Where are you located in Canada???

North Battleford Saskatchewan

That seems quite high for Dr. etc. Sorry I am in Ontario so that is not good to recommend one to you

We too think that it is very high, but I have no other doctor here. And they ask for cash only.

ugh.. here we go... we just got an email saying my husband needs to "Undergo the medical examination within 60 days of the date of the letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application". There is also a pre-filled form (IMM 1017 E) with our file# and his UCI, name, address etc to be filled out and a list of things to bring -- passport, 4 photos, old medical reports etc. (this is for the PR part of the application)

Problem is... we DID the medical in January (2013) and sent it in with the application... (so either they didn't get it, or they don't know they have it? ... its definately not expired yet ) How do we fix this? Our application is at the local office, call centre knows nothing.. not sure how to verify what they want or even if they rec'd our medical at all.

I called the Dr. to find out what is going on, and to ask if maybe he forgot to include something.. and he said no, they got everything they needed and we dont need to book another appointment...

Also, there is no address (or even signature) on the bottom of the letter or email to say where to send it to.. I assume the local office where we had our interview?

@ Lorelei

You have to use an approved CIC doctor for your immigration medical ... you can find them in your area on this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=2042&ProvID=15207&ProvinceName=Saskatchewan&CountryName=Canada

Looks like the closest one to you would be:

Mahesh C Khurana 1265- 100th Street, North Battleford, Saskatchewan, S9A 0V6 Phone: 306-446-2207 or 306-446-4303

@dawlex

I know we made appointment with him.

You need to sent them a response stating that you have ALREADY done the medical and send along a copy of the receipt you got from the doctor. Advise them that if you don't hear from them in 30 or 45 days you'll assume they have found your medical and another is not required. Alternatively, send it to them IN WRITING via courier (so you have evidence they received it).

CIC can (and does) lose things...

@ lorelei ohh wow your medical sounds expensive i did mine yesterday in scarborough and it cost only $180 for everything!!!!

I know probably because i don't have health card.

Healthcare doesn't cover Immigration Exams.

They asked for my health card, and when I said thath I don't have any since I'm not pr they looked at each other and said that in that case I have to pay 300$ to them, and 429$ to the hospital. I mean we are going to pay since we don't have any other options, just felt wierd reading other people expirience and a lot smaller prices.
