I am going to call local MP for help if I still don't hear anything in a month... It is getting ridiculous that Stage 2 even takes longer than 8 months.islandgirl25 said:same boat! i just called and they aren't even accepting calls...what a joke!

I have actually been worried about this exact same thing. I'd be more worried if it was July 31st instead though. I thought maybe they would just cancel the Inland sponsorship program kinda like the cancelling of the Immigration Investor program. It would be unlikely though as right now there is more than a year of applications they have received after July 30th 2013.virk1129 said:Just called cic..they say that if ur application was submitted after jul30 2013 ..we have not yet started processing the applications..wheres this going now...i hooe they dont do they dont do the same with us as they did with 2008 cec applicants returning the applications and the application fee..this is so not done....i think now the complete process will take 3-4 years if they dnt decise in stopping inland applications.
They do whatever they want to..they are not answerable to anyone..feeling stuckAudjgal said:I have actually been worried about this exact same thing. Temporary resident permits are for people who would normally be inadmissible to Canada, usually due to criminal issues.rvaburay84 said:Question: Could the applicants waiting for AIP currently apply for a "temporary RESIDENT permit" ?
note: resident permit is different than visitor visa, but it is not clear for me the eligibility rules ... my point is: as we didnt get the AIP until now, maybe we can apply for a resident permit and we can get an open work permit. What do u think guys ? Tks !
If you now have AIP, you are eligible to apply for an OWP. Why would you even need a TRP?rvaburay84 said:Question: Could the applicants waiting for AIP currently apply for a "temporary RESIDENT permit" ?

Get your MP to inquire. But there is a rumor from MPs that in October, most of July August September files will be all cleared and so on. Again, rumor only, but there've been 2 people confirming the same thing their MPs told them.Princess029 said:Sigh I'm so depressed now. My husband sent an email to Mississauga office but I'm not surprised no response at all. It was about my GSCM notes that indicates the Eligibility Assessment is indicates as passed.
It is definitely frightening that something like 2008 CEC could happen. But I'm optimistic that soon they will have to start working on the 13 months of applications, and they continue to receive inland applications everyday. Another point is that sponsorship aim to reunite family, and CEC is based on experience, skills and work ability only (and It's not an excuse to end the application in the middle anyway). If they going to cancel inland applications, they should have stop receiving them already, and process the ones already received.virk1129 said:Just called cic..they say that if ur application was submitted after jul30 2013 ..we have not yet started processing the applications..wheres this going now...i hooe they dont do they dont do the same with us as they did with 2008 cec applicants returning the applications and the application fee..this is so not done....i think now the complete process will take 3-4 years if they dnt decise in stopping inland applications.
Maybe they've spent the last 7-8 months working on the new phone system and that's why so few AIPs have been processed.MiriMinBC said:According to their new and still useless phone system, they are still stuck on July 30. And processing times are 13 months. Should we be concerned that they seem to fail at math?
