I've noticed there are 2 sets of notes. One free and the other $5. Is there a difference? Is the $5 version processed faster?
If you order someone else's notes, or you ordering it from outside Canada, than you have no right to order it free. The notes are the same.

Surprise surprise, they updated to july 30th.

I wouldn't keep my hopes as high, next week it will probably go back to the 29th :P

Wow, this is unbelievable. They go from July 30th to July 29th and back to July 30th again. They're never gonna leave July! I feel for those who applied in 2013. At this rate, it feels like they'll take 2 years before first step is done. Ridiculous.

Oh yes we have. It started because CRA took away my husband's GST refunds because they are convinced that I am actually a Canadian citizen who refuses to give my SIN. Even though they've been sent copies of my AOR letter and my international tax filing.

Our MLA's secretary said they've tried to talk to CIC for other constituents in the past and it goes nowhere.

My Canadian citizen husband has become very unimpressed with his own country. And no amount of positive thinking makes up for the endless lies and BS.
this what i don't get it part ... how do we count official date common law ...is time i start live with my partner or after 12 months ?
and finally july 30 again ...( os : huh ? why i say agian ? " deja vu ?)

It would be my citizen husband ordering from in Canada. Sorry I made you think it was something else....

And I'm sorry but what exactly about that question made you think I was asking about outside Canada? Or hat I have a right to free info? Can you explain that?

Hi Ortom, did you hear anything about your application since it is past the date ?

I just tried to give basic information, nothing specific to you.
You can order the notes in two ways:
Access to Information ($5) = "you are asking for information about someone else"
Privacy Act (free) = "you are asking for information about yourself"

So, your husband can access the information for free about the sponsorship process, but not about your permanent residence application. If you would like to have the full picture and not paying for it, than you should order the notes, not your husband. You can order it for free if you are in Canada.

Hi Sophie just want to correct you. My husband (sponsor) is always the one ordering through privacy act. I sign and upload a consent form. And they will send info about both of you in the notes. :) but you can do vice versa also just one of you need to sign the consent form.

Hi Jen,
nothing yet, my AOR is july 30th, can't even say that they passed my date, bcs they "are working" on it :-\. I think RRSWEET didn't hear until friday evening around 6pm from cic, so I'm still hopeful for today.

Ok that makes sense.
