Sorry guys, but I'm kind of lost with this spreadsheet thing. Can somebody explain what it is for? Sorry if I missed. I'm really loving this thread. It's great to know that you're not alone in your journey. Many blessings to you all! ;)

The spreadsheet captures information for people who have applied via the inland process. This allows you (and others) to watch how people in the same time frame as you fare moving through the process. By doing this, you get a sense of how the process is flowing overall and how your own process is moving with respect to others.

It yields better insight usually than e-CAS (which is almost useless!)

The spreadsheet is for the applicants and sponsors on this Inland 2013 board to submit their timeline info when it is rec'd from CIC. It is helpful to refer to so you can see how quickly (or slowly) CIC is processing everyone's applications. It gives us an idea on how to gauge our own applications.. (ie.. if you see someone else who rec'd AOR around the same time as you, and then they get AIP.. then you have hope that your AIP will follow shortly afterwards..) It's not necessarily the case tho.. as you know, each individual application gets processed on it's own merit.. and dependent upon different circumstances and the complexity of each application or how fast/slow the officer works on it.. yours could take longer or even be processed faster than the average. It's really just a guide our own reference.

If you want to be added to the spreadsheet just post your dates (App Rec'd, AOR, AIP etc) in a message .. or pm wolanila. The link to the spreadsheet is on page 1 of this thread under wolanila's signature in her first post.

Hi after looking at the spreadsheet, I'm wondering how do people have their applications submitted without police certificates or medical tests done? I thought those were to be included with the app.

Generally it only means children (it can mean grandchildren as well under limited circumstances). There is a supplemental form for your mother, father and siblings, but they don't go on the generic form (IMM 0008)
Ok,another question: do I put mom,dad and brother in Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)?

In generic application form 3 question is how many family members including you are in this app? do i put only myself,or do they go to? does the sponsor count in that number?

Also I'am inland so which IO office do I request? My country(Croatia) goes thru Vienna so do I write Vienna or one of IO in Canada?

Thx to everybody in this forum! I was so helpful to fill all these forms ....
we sent our application common law on 22.04.2013, today we received our AOR.
with the letter further information was required:
"Please note all family members both inside and outside Canada must be listed on your application form along with a current address and phone number even if they are not applying to join you in Canada. Please complete the Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) for your son ....."
I never saw a space for a phone number....?
my son, I am the sponsored one, is still a dependent child(21), but will not accompany to canada, and as I know him, he don't want even to fill the form and sign or do the medication etc. what can we do about that any way around it?
please add me to the spreadsheet... I hope we don't start already with a delay because of this missing form:-(

Just an update ... (not as exciting as last Mondays tho ;) )
On Friday, we got an email from CIC that says my husbands OWP has been approved. It is dated May 2nd, 2013 and says the permit is valid until May 2-2014. It also has the permit number on it as well and says he will be issued it upon his arrival in Canada (he's already here). We have not rec'd the AIP letter in the mail yet tho.. likely another week for that to come.. and I imagine the actual permit itself will be enclosed.
Congratutlations!!! Wow!!! Your husband got it so fast. I applied my PR and OWP in the beginning of December, now I'm still waiting :( :( :(

Yes.

You, your accompanying children and any sponsored grandchildren - family members who are applying for PR along with you.

Vegreville - you are an inland application, you will be processed inside Canada.

If you are sending in a new application for a work permit, it is faster to send it in online. If you wait until you have AIP to submit it then it would be faster to apply online. But if you send in a paper OWP application now and have it attached to your file, they will issue the OWP at the time AIP is granted - which is faster than waiting until AIP is granted.

It's a generic form, so write N/A in areas that don't apply - like the employer's name.
Thanks computergeek! A few more question if I may that I ran into filling out the form for the OWP.

1. On the application form, it asks for the UIC number. Should I give the UIC number that my wife (sponsor) received from the CIC or the one that appears on my NAFTA work permit (for the job I no longer have)?
2. For an OWP, am I applying for "A work permit with a new employer"? The others don't really make sense in my situation.
3. I guess I have to let the CIC know that I am no longer working for the company because the form asks for my work experience. For current activity/occupation, should I write unemployed?

Thanks again!

@ Dawlex or someone else who might know!

You had your app received Feb 15th and AOR March 6th. I thought once that happens the apps just sits on a desk (or wherever they go) until they finish the ones before you. I'm wondering how yours got pulled, was it strictly 100% just chance and luck or do they go through the apps to see if anything stands out and then just put it on the desk.

Thanks

I assume you mean UCI (Universal Client Identifier). You should use YOUR UCI from the work permit.

Not much of the form DOES make sense for OWPs. The VOs seem to figure it out though.

Sure. It won't matter in your case, but you don't want to misrepresent anything.

Hello everyone and congratulations to everyone who has had recent progress with there applications.

I would like to ask if there is anyone who would like to take over the spreadsheet. I am way to busy at work and school and have no time for it at the moment so I thought I should pass it on to someone who has more time for it. If you are interested let me know. Thanks

I really have no idea either... We did have a lot of "red flags" I would say so it may have gotten pulled for that reason.. but also, we got a 2nd email the day after we got the AOR email saying that our application was being transferred to Vancouver BRO-V (we live in Ontario) it said it was for further processing. I found that very strange (and scary!). When I called to ask about it (twice) I was only told that Vancouver was the Backlog Reduction Office. I later found a link about it (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/refugees/reform-backlog.asp) so I settled down some... Then... we get a letter in the mail from our local office for a "Call In Interview" (with 4 days notice ) .. The IO explained that when applications have a lot of questions that they send them to the local office for interviewing. I must say that the interview was pretty intense - about 2hrs worth in total. We know each other very well though, so it had to have been obvious that we are a genuine couple. But honestly, your guess is as good as mine as to how we got so lucky (I'm actually the most UNluckiest person I know..)

Congrats to Dawlex on AIP and getting her OWP, I believe she's the first of 2013 applicants!!!

Also, Wolanila, sorry I can't help with sorting out the spreadsheet, as I also work full time.
