Correct me if I'm wrong,my head is buzzing from all this forms . :)

If I go out of status and AIP is not made until that date,I am in implied status because OWP is still in proces?

In generic app form for canada there is a part about dependants, not realy clear about that,do I have to put all my family members(mom, dad, brother) or is it just for childern(we don't have any children).
Yes, as long as you included the OWP application and paid the fee up front. You can carry a copy of your fee receipt for "proof" of Implied Status if you need to.

Dependants in this case only means children that are qualifying dependants (such as under age 18 or a qualifying student over 18).

Hi
I had the same problem with CCTB after getting married in Nov. even though I sent a letter stating the money he had made working in St. Vincent for each of the past 3 years. They stopped payment for about 3 months and took my income tax refund money also. When we received his ITN and contacted CCTB with it they started my benefits and back pay. What I don't understand is why my benefits have been cut slightly(because they calculated his St. Vincent income with it). That was money made before he ever came to Canada and before we were married. His world income from Canadian sources was 0, but they wanted to know his income in St. Vincent (calculated in Can$)
The key word is "world income" so if he had any income in the past taxation year either in or outside of Canada, it effects your family net income for the whole year. The calculation is then made off of that. If he had made zero dollars in St.Vincent and zero dollars in Canada, then there would not have been any change to your CCTB amount.

Ok thanks, So I being the applicant (American), filed a Canadian tax return for my income in Canada for 2012. Is that all I need to do? I don't need to do a world income do I?

You remain "in status" as long as you have a pending application in queue until they make a decision on the application.

Generally it only means children (it can mean grandchildren as well under limited circumstances). There is a supplemental form for your mother, father and siblings, but they don't go on the generic form (IMM 0008)

Yes, you should submit a world income form, even if you had no income from the states during the year. My husband had Canadian income, which he declared as well as the world income form declaring any earnings from his home country (Jamaica) If you are here longer than 183 days - it is required.

I don't think my husband will have to do one next year, as he should land this year, and has not been back home during the time - but Im gona do it anyway, just to be on the safe side.

^ Alright thanks again! I'll attempt to find the right forms on CRA's site. This is the first I've heard of this, but I'll take your word, and if I'm not required to do this hopefully they just chuck it out.

Would this be the form: T1-2012 Statement of World Income - Non-Residents of Canada ?

Also I already did my Canadian tax return for 2012 (and received my tax return and cashed the cheque)...is it to late, still go ahead and do it, does it affect anything? Thanks so much again for your help.

It wont have any effect until they do a reassement..........I believe. It cant hurt to submit it now. I had already gotten my tax return and spent the money and then they hit me with a big bill! It all worked out in the end after I submitted the form and now that debt is wiped, but I nearly crapped my pants! lol

and yes , that's the correct form..... Better safe than sorry, I say. :)

Now I'm worried haha. I shouldn't really be hit with a big bill though if I didn't earn any money abroad should I? I paid all my taxes from each cheque during 2012 and got a return...filling out this form shouldn't make me have to pay in. Part of me wants to just play dumb and not do this haha, but now I'm scared.

lol..... if you didn't have any income other than what was in Canada (that you already filed with) just submit the world income form showing zero from outside Canada - and you will be fine. There wont be any outstanding taxes or changes. Don't be scared....its not like they are going to sent the Feds after you, its just a pain in the butt ! lol

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've come to this page. Hope your process is going smoothly! I have a few questions. I sent my inland application on January 2013, it says on the CIC website that they are working on applications sent on October 2012. Does that mean that my application does not appear in the CIC system? My visitor status expired in February, am I considered an implied visitor as I have already sent my application? And if so, can I travel within Canada without any issues (by plane)? I have not received any answer from CIC, so all I have as proof is a copy of package tracking and confirmation from the post office and copies of the documents I sent. I hope someone can help me with this. Sorry if it all sounds confusing. Thank you!! ;)

When you sent your inland application, did you also include an application for an open work permit or for an extension of your visitor status? If not, you are out of status. The PR application by itself does not establish your status in Canada.

Domestic flights do not check your immigration status.

Generally you receive an acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) a few months after submitting the package. By now the Call Centre should have a record of you if you wish to call them (they can also provide your UCI once it's been issued so you can watch e-CAS give you mis-information.)
