I am little down today, I should be happy someone had a decision made, but it makes me worry because nothing has changed on ours. Don't get me wrong I am very happy for Ruby but consumed with my application. I really need this to be done with. It's getting to me.

I know this is rough but I will not let you get down. Oh no, not today missy! You don't let me get down.
You should be jumping up and down. It is literally a weekend away. Just a few days away. There is nothing wrong with your application. They just happened to get an answer close to the weekend. Yours is right behind it. I bet you will be jumping up and down on Monday or Tuesday! I will be jumping with you.

By the way TL, do you have email or FB? I can help you stay strong there too.
P.S. I forgot to mention that by the time you actually find out about a decision or get the letter you have actually already had AIP for about 4-7 days by that time. So you already have it, I am positive, they just haven't put it in the computer yet.

I know, it is really easy to get down about that. But the CIC agents don't have much more info than we do.
I mean you could call and not even an hour after calling get a decision made. Please keep your chin up!

Since all of you seemed to like my idea of a poll to vote on Vegreville's newly posted processing date on the CIC site for this past week, I thought I would create a new one for this week. Congrats! That sounds like PR. It looks like a lot of recent applications are receiving 1st and 2nd stage of approval at the same time. I guess the longer processing time is a bit worth it now.

wow, that sounds really good, congratulations Mark_Anna. they received my application the 6 th of july 2010 but I'm applying from within quebec and that adds a bit more paperwork but if i'm lucky i may hear from them soon too!

Does anyone know if e-cas updates over night?

As per my experience, the system gets updated everyday around midnight. We checked on a friday night and there was no update and on saturday morning we had update. It happened more than once.
