I also hope you hear something this week. After clicking "In Process" it says:

"We received your application for permanent residence on December 30, 2009.

We started processing your application on March 5, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted. "

It should then start looking like this (this is my timeline from e-cas too), "Decision Made" status appears on the main page:

Permanent Residence

We received your application for permanent residence on October 5, 2009.

We started processing your application on November 17, 2009.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on May 3, 2010 to XXXXXX, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

We received the requested information on May 26, 2010. Thank you for providing the information.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

Awesome, thanks for posting this!

How come it says a "decision has been made" twice at the bottom? Was the "letter sent" on May 3rd the request for police certificate? And is the we "received the requested information" refer to the police certificate? Sorry for all the questions. :P

I know, it's not a typo... those 2 lines at the bottom with the "A decision has been made and you will be contacted." are there to make my details page look pretty and full of good news, I suppose.. hehehe
Yes, exactly like that as you put it, May 3 is when they mailed me the AIP letter with the request for my fingerprints and photos (they in turn sent them over to Mexico to obtain the certificate themselves, I assume), our daughter's birth certificate and a copy of my passport's bio-page. May 26 is when they opened my letter with the fingerprints for the police certificate and requested documents.

Jajajajaja. Well it certainly does make your page look very pretty. I had to request my police certificate from Costa Rica and it took a while to get (tu sabes como es la burocracia). I am glad I started that process a month ago and sent it in already, otherwise I would be feeling quite stressed right now. I just went to get my health insurance. I was told by someone I could do it with my AIP letter and it worked! They issued me a temp. insurance card and my real one will arrive in the mail in two weeks. Thank goodness because paying $120 everytime I have had to go to the walk-in clinic has not been good for our budget. :o

Mexic.... did you submit any police certificate with your initial application???

Si, la burocracia no solo es alla sino aca tambien como podemos constatar ahora... ya tu sabes.
It's awesome there's no waiting period in Alberta for the Health Card and that they accepted your AIP letter for it. I kinda like that province... I wonder how come in Ontario we have to wait 3 months for it and no waiting in Alberta?... That's not cool at all... Are you in Calgary?.

I too always wondered why they make people wait 3 months in Ontario.
I think that I too am able too in Newfoundland right away.

Nope, I got a bit confused because in the instructions there was a list of countries that were not supposed to submit a police certificate until if/when it was requested and Costa Rica was one of those countries. But then a senior member of this forum suggested I go ahead and order it and send it in anyways which is what I ended up doing last week.
