I have been lurking for a while and decided to register today. Here is my timeline:
Application received April 22,2010
Started processing July 7, 2010
AIP January 20, 2011
Sent off OWP application February 11th, 2010

So just like everyone, I am still playing the waiting game. It is rather frustrating and quite stressful. I have read all the posts on this thread and it is very heartwarming to see how close everyone has become and how everyone encourages each other to remain strong and upbeat. It is nice to have somewhere to go to share things with and have others that know what you are going through. I know the most stressful time for me was the time spent waiting to get the AIP. All those months wondering if I would get approved or my file would be transferred or even denied totally drove me nearly bonkers. I breathe a little easier now that I have AIP and once I get my work permit then I will be able to get a job but I still worry about things. I guess it's normal to do that until you go for the landing interview. I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers and pray for speedy AIPs and PRs. Good luck to everyone :D

Thank you for the birthday wishes kiwikris. It means a lot for sure.

I am so very devastated to hear that about your home though. That is so tragic. You most certainly should be home when you can get there. I will be praying for a quick and smooth recovery of your home even though I am certain with all tragedies it will take time to build that foundation and confidence up again. I most certainly will be keeping you, your friends, your family and home in my prayers. Once again I am sorry dear. I hope you get PR very soon. Maybe you should talk to the MP and pass it along to the office saying that you have urgencies to go home and need the case finished soon. They may be able to push it through. It is at least worth a shot, eh?
Thanks heaps LY I really appreciate your kind words, I didn't even think of doing that, not been thinking straight.

Hope you had a great birthday :)

-Transfered to the local mississauga office in March 2010 without AIP
-Waiting and waiting and waiting !! nothing
-contacted my mp she told that it was at the etbicoke office in Toronto not mississauga (Ecas says its in mississauga) and that the file was sqeduled for reviewing in late april
-After a week or so my Ecas changed from mississauga to Etobicoke
-My wifes Ecas still says Mississauga !!!!!
-Sent requet for FOSS notes by fax about two weeks ago emailed the minister
-Preparing to send updates to the file and changing my rep

Today I got an email from the minister saying that my wife has an interview on march 16 at 8:00 am !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that's good news Material, I dunno but when they make interviews for 8am I think it's a landing interview, because they told Asta to be there at 8am and that was his landing interview....maybe I am completely wrong but either way, interviews are a good thing, you can show immigration you relation is genuine. I am excited for you not worried at all, you guys will be fine. Good Luck :) :) :)

No TeresaLynn, Material was transferred without AIP so this is an interview to determine the genuineness of the relationship.

Material, I would start gathering documents that prove your relationship developing over time since meeting, dating, marrying, since applying etc.. Also, start preparing to answer questions about each other because you will be interviewed separately. If you do well, they will approve for AIP. The questions will be basic questions that those in a genuine relationship should be able to answer. Such questions like: What is your spouse's favorite color?, Where did you marry?, Who attended?, Who proposed?, What are your plans for the future? What side of the bed does your spouse sleep on?, What is their favorite food/movie/etc?, Where does you spouse work? What are you in laws names? When does your spouse leave and get back from work? How much is their annual salary? Do you have any pets? Etc. Just everyday questions that you should know about each other. You will probably want to arrive just a little early. Try to be calm and from experience you both may be there for a couple of hours.

From Material's background it doesn't seem like a landing interview is seems more like an assessment interview where both sponsor and applicant will be interviewed to check the genuineness of their relationship or to clarify any concern brought up by the IO, i.e lack of legal status, criminal records ...
Good Luck ! :)

SssS: Congratulations on your AIP, hopefully you will get your landing interview letter soon as well! :)

I have no idea Teresa why? they told me it was in mississauga first which made sence because I lived in mississauga when I filed the app but then I moved to hamilton before it was transfered and after that they told me it is in Etobicoke ??

Thanks love_young for the info, just hope that our nerves dont get to us its defently an interview to prove our marriage is real because as u said it was transfered before AIP.
But I have heard that they dont look at any info you bring with u to the interview they only look at what u have on the app is that true?
