hi all just have a few questions:
1) should i send my work permit fee along with sponsorship application or it can be sent at a later date?
Yes, I would recommend that. It should a whole package in order to avoid any delays.
2) should i send my pr pics with application or that also ca be sent at a later date?
Yes, send those along with the application.
3) i knw its says first stage approval takes 10-11 mnths but is it 10-11 mnths after they recieved my application or after they start processing ?
After they receive your application.
4) when you get first stage approval can u get your ohip along with owp?
After First stage approval, you are eligible to apply for temporary OHIP.

ilove, why don't you check in e-cas and see if your file is in process? They update that within 2 days of in process.

I do not see any update on my e-cas and cic rep told me that it could takes up to 3 months.

I wonder if anyone of you received your word permit through LMO+job offer? I am thinking of getting a job in the mean time. 8)

phois, the $200 is a restoration of status fee. I forgot to include something for my husbands extension and they denied it and I had to pay the $200 and send in the entire file again plus the information that was missing. But, your situation is different because you paid. Hmmm, keep us posted on what happens. I think I did attach the receipt but I cannot remember.

Did you have to send in the permanent residence application and visitor application over again or just the visitor application with the receipt?

My husband said he called CIC and supposedly said that we need to send in everything just because of the visitor app. (doesnt make sense because i put both those receipts in the PR application and i dont even think they checked it yet its still early...) but hes really confused about the whole process and I can't even get hold of them now. >.<

I need help, I met my sponsor in Canada my whole family lives in my home country, my wife has never met them in person but she has talked to them on facebook and on the phone. the SPOUSE/COMMON-LAW QUESTIONNAIRE application form. on the question number 4 It asks if your relationship is known by your family and also they ask you to indicate the date that your sponsor met them. how is my sponsor supposed to meet them if they live in a different country and they have never been to Canada? I mean, what am I supposed to put on that question? please help.

Frank25, I have the same situation. I met my husband here in Canada and we never travelled back home, neither my parents had a chance to visit us here. However, in the questionaire I said that relationship is known to my parents ( as we comminicate often via Skype). What is more, on a seperate piece of paper I answered the question again explaining situation as you did here. "They had no chance to meet, but we communicate via phone and FB etc. We are looking forward to travel home as soon as possible". I think the key is explaining...

There are plenty of couples like that and not all of them have chance to travel. Good luck and I hope this is helpful.

Am-lina, it was signed for when it reached Vegreville but it has not been attached yet. You should always register your stuff that you send them so you can have piece of mind that they received it.

hakri, they may have sent you those forms because you didn't fill them out or you filled them out incorrectly. It is normal for CIC to send you a letter requesting information if something is missing.

Lots of April applicants in the list now. I don't feel so alone It's amazing how the wait can get to ya sometimes. At any rate... Nov. 7th...its a move but a mighty small one and with Christmas coming....... I just want to work.

Was just telling the wife I wonder if filing outland would have worked better. Anyway hindsight and all. Wife says I don"t wait well.

I know what you mean greyghost. Sometimes it just gets to you. You sent your 1 week after mine. We are almost there. Just a few more months to go. Plus, I think that they had a ton of October applicants and I heard that there are not too many in Nov and Dec and it goes by a lot faster. Plus, everyone is done with taking vacation now. I think September was still a popular month to take vacation.

Anyway, I am hoping for those 12 day jumps to come back soon.

And yes, you also have lyrical to join you in April. I am sure as the time goes on we will see more people joining our thread too.

The first was in July (I did not get for weeks because CPost strike... The second was beginning of September.

I had the same issue too hakri. For the most up to date address I did not put the word "to present" for the time period and they asked me to refill it, even though no where on the website gives you examples that you need to do that. I sent it back and it was received but the website has not updated that they've received just a confirmation on the package being signed by someone there. Good luck to you
