If I ask for a visitor VISA extension of 1 year, and CIC won't give 1 year?????

They can do either one. W#e applied for two extensions of 6 months. Didn't know we could apply for a year. My wifes PR came through days after her PR approval.

Generally, 6 moths + is most likely in case of parents, where even 2 year ext are given ( not talking abt Supervisa )

I applied for 1 year ext for folks, waiting.. ( this is after their first 6 months ext )

May I ask what reason for extension did you give for your parent's first 6 months extension and second did you receive the 1-year extension by now? I may have to apply for my father extension in a few months.

Do you guys knws about implied status? My mother extended her visit visa and reach 3 yrs but now she is in implied status.. Pls advice us what to do if we want to apply visitors visa again while,having ths kind of status
