I am happy to let know that we got our AIP after 31 month of applying.Its so great to know that the battle is almost over. Thanks to everyone on this forum that has contributed to this, especially @Pear23, @idiris and everyother persons here. You guys are my new family. I pray that everyone still waiting for their AIP will receive it very soon in Jesus name.

Congratulations,what took them so long to process an AIP? How many family members were added?did you follow up with them after the usual processing time was over?

@ibrahim0175 thank you,honestly i don't know why it took so long, i only added my spouse and one kid, i involved my Mp in May 2024 and they responded that its in queue for processing August 1st, 2024. I still called last week and agent told me only background check and criminality is in progress and its been that way since march 2022. The file was in missisauga before, i guess they transferred it to vancouver of recent

My work permit will expire in October 15 i applied to renew it last month. And I received my AIP in May 2024 . Today I received email from HR to remind me that my work permit and SIN will be expired October 15 and I sent them proof that I applied to renew it and my AIP then they replied that okay but if you don’t receive your work permit till October 15 you are not able to work
It’s never happened before usually I sent them proof and they keeping me work till I have a new one then send it to them
Is it legal to do that?
Was that happened before with anyone?
What should I do?

Have u submitted all the documents requested for stage 2 approval and why is stage 2 approval taking so long?
