Dear ______________:

This refers to your enquiry concerning the status of your application in the Federal Skilled Worker category, submitted after February 26, 2008, but before June 26, 2010. We are currently processing files of this type that were received before February 2009.

Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, Federal Skilled Worker applications under the set of Ministerial Instructions effective as of June 26, 2010 are processed on a priority basis. By prioritizing Federal Skilled Worker applications received after this date, we are responding to the most urgent labour market needs first.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of Ministerial Instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected. During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and as of April 2011, 144,000 of these had not yet received a decision. This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011.

Processing time statistics are not an accurate means to predict future processing times. The Damascus statistics for Federal Skilled Worker applications received between November 28, 2008, and June 25, 2010 are skewed by the extremely large number of abandoned files and files closed for not complying with the 120-day deadline for completed applications.

Processing times are a function of a number of factors, including the number of applications received, the number of applications that can be finalized, in keeping with permanent resident targets set annually, and more specifically operational issues such as the time required to complete statutory checks. Times vary from one visa office to another since visa offices face different challenges operating in different countries, regions, even among different offices within the same region.

Damascus is one of the visa offices most affected by this large inventory of applications. We regret that at this time we are not able to provide you with an estimate of when applications received in Damascus under the first Instructions will be finalized.

We appreciate your patience and will contact you as this application reaches the next stage of processing. Until we contact you, the only information you are required to provide us in order to update your application is:

- Change of address or contact information, including email address;
- Request to withdraw your application and refund the application fees;
- Submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Social Development Canada; or
- Change of your representative.

If you are no longer interested in immigrating to Canada and you wish to withdraw your application, please contact the Canadian Embassy in Damascus to confirm your mailing information. We will return your full application fee if processing has not begun on your file.

To withdraw an application, please send a fax (963-11-611-8043), email or a letter, signed by the principal applicant, with the following information:

- The applicant's name and date of birth

- The file number

- A return mailing address

For updated information on our standard processing times and for other information, we welcome you to visit our website.

Dear Madam/Sir,
I am ____________________________________________.

I am writing to you to ask you an explanation about my immigration case, recently i had my CAIPS result which was empty. After three months within "IN PROCESS " in my E-case,i was expecting having some results in my CAIPS,but unfortunately i have not.

Before four months i sent you an email asking you about my case status and when it may be reviewed and your answer was you could not predict when you will be reviewing my case,today and after 14 months of receiving my supporting documents i think that I have the right to know when my case will be handled.

It is clear that you have huge numbers of skills workers cases that you are dealing with,but do not forget promises that was given by " Mr. Jason Kenney " the average time of processing an immigration case might take from six to 12 months.

I look forward to having a good news form your site,without any postponing anymore.

Best Regards.

Thanks for sharing this !

Good Luck !

@fedupwaiting

Check you BP

Things are moving now.

Wait for your turn.

Dear Fedupwaiting
Thank you for sharing this information with us but I have to agree with KDSTTL try to control you BP and don't give them a reason to reject your case as if they need a reason which is very clear from their answer that they will be rejecting many applicant.
I think it's a matter of few months more don't worry they are working on people submitted their application in last quarter 2009. Soon they will start working on first quarter 2010
I think may be by the end of this year.
Have a nice day

Dear sunrise
Thank you so much for your supporting feelings and for your advices but i cannot agree with & with Mr KDSTTL because when i decided to go ahead with this immigration i had a choice to immigrate to 3 countries, and after 4 months of reading hundreds of cases on line i toke the decision to immigrate to Canada not because it is the best :NO because it was the fastest way of immigration.
IF Minister kinney cannot hold his words it is not immigrants problem and maybe not his,but at least and after 15 months of waiting i have the right to know what is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So many cases from Ukraine and Russia with the same time line like mine already in Canad working and living.
I am not enforcing them to do smth unreal, i only wanna know roughly when my case may be reviewed.

Pathetic that you copied the link provided by me again on this particular website. And very sorry for you that you didn't understand what the link was trying to say, what The Star was trying to say. You made yourself a fool. Very sorry for you.

Secondly, if you have not decided whether to move to any of those three countries you wanted to immigrate, then you already shown your character.

People decide to immigrate to a particular country after updating themselves about the various aspects (life style, culture, gdp, job opportunity, family adaptability etc.) about the country. Its a decision. You just want to move out of India.

And you are fed up. Sorry for you.

KDSTTL

@ my other fellow applicants.

Immigration department is speeding up the processing of pre June 2010 applications, and trying to process in the 14 months processing period as mentioned in the original immigration website, though they have already crossed 14 months in some case.

They still don't want to revise the schedule period, because they expect to finish the balance applications in the prescribed period.

Cheers and wait for your turn.

Hi All,

Thanks for your valuable information specially for that email from fedupwaiting.

I have submitted my documents in Aug 2009 and sent full docs in Oct 2009, Still waiting for the decision.
My NOC was 2145, However, It could also gone to 8222. Since 8222 is still in demand list and 2145 is not, does it make any negative point for my case? if yes, Can I change my NOC to 8222 which is also relative to my job?
