Hi,

I have received a mail with medical forms to submit the medical test results within 60 days. The letter says this:

" Please be advised that your immigration interview is waived pending receipt of all the documents mentioned in this letter and passing medical exams. You may now proceed with the medical exam. We strongly encourage you to submit these documents...blah blah.."
Documents requested: IMM8 form, Schedule A, Schedule 3, IMM5406, The Right of Permanent Residence fee .

How much time it will take for Passport request after submitting medical test result?

Congrats....anywhere from a month to three months. But for some it has taken more than 5 months. Send your meds via courier services so u could get a tracking # and be patient....

Thanks for the reply. Do I need to send the medical report or doctor will send the report? What will be the expense for these medical reports in US? Will Doctor send these reports to me?

You cannot send medical reports. The hospital will take care of it.

The Doctor will send the medical report to Ottawa but you will get a receipt from the Doctor's. As soon as you get the receipt send a copy of it over to the Immigration office notifying that your medicals are done. The cost ranges from $225/$150 for adult/kid to $400/$200 for adult/kid. We got it done about a month and half ago.

All i can say is that decision made does not always mean a rejection. Be patient and say "Hasbi Allahu Wa Naymal Wakeel" extensively. Inshallah if going to Canada is good for you and your future nobody can stop.

Thanks for your guidance. $225-$400 will cover all the charges like X-Ray, Lab Test, Doctor Fee etc? Do I need to find some cheaper place for X-Ray and Lab Tests? Why this fees vary from $225-$400? Any reasonable price place near PA, NY or NJ if u know?

Will it covered by Insurance?

It differs from Doctor to Doctor again, but at most of the places the price covers all the charges. Its always good to confirm before you go. The cheaper rates are with Doctors who are far away cities the Doctors who are in big cities tend to charge more. I shopped around in IL,PA and MI and found MI is the cheapest ($225). The CIC website has a list of all the participating DMPs listed. Call them and ask them how much do they charge. As far as i know the insurance doesn't cover this expense.
