I'm not in a situation like yours but here's my opinion.

I think it will be better if you and your hubby will BOTH try your luck in Canada. Like what you said, you don't have any relatives in Canada, so it will be better if you have somebody to take care of you in case something might go wrong (you get sick etc.). Getting sick alone abroad is hard without your family to look after you. In this case, if you have your hubby then at least we all know you can get by. :D

But the question is, can you live for sometime without your baby? I think you can naman. As filipinos/OFW we all can endure that just for the better future. :D Having your baby with you in Canada is good, but that would mean only 1 of you can work full-time because one has to attend to your baby's need. Not unless you would want your baby to stay in, let's say, a daycare, which i personally despise. :-X

In case of your baby, please be reminded that application to sponsor will be an arduous process AGAIN. The sponsorship for spouse/dependent child will take sometime. Applying to become a sponsor will approximately take 60days. After that they will send your application to the visa office and currently the processing will take 15months (current timeline from CEM). Not to mention you have to be financially stable to be a sponsor (though there is no minimum income guideline to sponsor spouse or dependent child).

So my vote goes to - you should land with your hubby and you can do what Blue Butterfly will do, he lands and then go back after he resigns or do what he has to do. and later on sponsor your baby. :D

Just my 2 cents.

Goodluck!

As for the baby, I think okay lang din na kasama na sa landing tapos balik Pinas na lang ulit. Para PR na din si baby at hindi na kayo mag-sponsor in the future. :) Kunin nyo na lang ulit pag stable na kayo, just take note of the duration na pasok pa din sa PR rules. :)

Sana magbigay na MR/PPR/DM/Visa Grant ang CEM this week..

Medyo bumagal ata sila ngayon. Pasko na kasi.. :(

Hello! Dito po sa SGVO ang current trend is nakaka-receive ng email ang mga ibang applicants asking them to prove that their JD is genuine and are given 30 days to prove. Although they were not requested to attend an interview. Mostly additional proof lang ng job nila to show that it's genuine.

I just thought this info could help you prepare in case meron po maka-receive din ng gantong e-mail.

Till now wala pa mga passport namin ni Blue Butterfly and Hello Canada.

Same date kame lahat ng DM.

Hayayay buhay....

Oo nga walang update ngayon sa CEM. Tapos closed ata sila ngayon. :( Pero hopefully before Christmas mareceive na natin. :)

Thank you so much Blue Butterfly & Andy_s!
I will consider all your suggestions and discuss it with my hubby…

I think I can endure the pain of leaving my daughter in PH since I've done it before when she is only 6 mos old. It is really heart breaking but I need to be strong since our goal is to be together in the future. Going back to the Philippines is the least option and I don't need to tell why because I think all of us have the same reason why we want to migrate. However, Singapore is very near which I can see her like every 3 mos but in Canada it will be different.

For now, our chance to be together is Canada because Singapore is tightening their rules for the foreign workers. This journey is for our daughter and for our future child. Thus, I'm really hoping that everything will be fine.

Andy_s is right living abroad alone is difficult. Maybe I only survive in Singapore because I'm with my husband. That's why I still have this fear to be alone in Canada although I'm already an OFW. :D

Btw, in case kasama nmin c baby during landing then balik n lng ng pinas (which I think we need to save money for the airfare! lol!). Is she also required to have a total of 2 years stay in Canada in a 5-year period para marenew PR?

Really thankful to have this Forum! Cheers!

I think you should all go to Canada and take chances there even though you do not have any relatives there. I'm guessing that you are comparing your experience with SG that's why you are afraid. It will not be that hard because it is an English speaking country and they are very immigrant-friendly compared to SG. Take your chances and unite your family in Canada. Mahirap lang sa simula pero mas maganda yan dahil hindi mababawasan ang taon mo with your daughter. Those are the precious times pa naman. Saka malamig sa Canada, mahirap mag-isa. ;) Good luck!

hi. mrs_fca.
