Also what I feel from his talk was, IRCC is still figuring out the work from home thing. They are not functioning at full speed.

On the CIC website, this statement "We’re prioritizing applications from people who are exempt from travel restrictions" used to show the list of people who can travel to Canada, now it asks whether or not you are Vaxxed and when are you traveling. Not sure what it exactly means but apparently the intended Sept 7th is when the excuse of not being exempt is lifted. I am done reading interpretations by clueless people, they are depressing as hell. I am hoping these are good news, though it's unfair to unvaxxed people.

Shocking to read about the Canadian banking system; hard to believe really. Another thing Nigeria does better than Canada. The first was passport issuing lol:D
Lmao…when I was in England, requesting a debit card took a while but we can get it under 5minutes.
Let’s not talk about how easy it is for random people with bad intentions to use your card info for payments over here you’ll need OTP/token for lots of transactions to be completed.

Refugees have their separate quota under the 401k immigration target plan and the target allocated to refugees this year is around 60k. They probably wouldn’t even meet this target despite the 20k we are expecting. PGP program is already under Family category of the immigration plan, so nothing new. I don’t expect the targets of these separate categories to be met this year let alone having a surplus to compensate for the deficit expected from the economic class category
That’s what I mean. The 401k is the total quota that they will probably reach, but probably without following the category distribution. They will mix and match from whatever category they can this year to reach 401k, so it’s not an issue if CEC and TR to PR category surpasses their total. There will be several categories lacking in landings.

Even if they miraculously process all the 90k TR to PR applications this year (impossible) they would still need to land 24k PRs every month from August to December to meet that 401k target. With CEC invites dropping I don’t know how they will achieve that. They need to issue COPRs to all those with expired ones and issue COPRs to everyone whose application is approved to stand a chance of meeting the immigration target for this year

I think they mentioned there was 23k expired COPRs, then if you count all the all program draws from last year, there would be around 30-50k backloggers, of which not all will get approved. Honestly I feel they are screwed even with Outland landings lol.

From what I had read somewhere recently, there was about 23k expired COPRs, 15k or so approved but no COPR issued and about 7.5k almost / about to be finalized.
