True, it’s kinda hard to come to Canada, to then cross over to the US, so it’s usually people who already are here somehow on visas and Canadians can just get a TN for higher skilled jobs, while low skilled jobs are honestly better off here. For drugs though, majority of smugglers in souther...

Yeah, on IRCC Twitter, they explained a bit what they expect from PR numbers. Non Quebec French will go up from 6% to 8% total on 2026 so you can expect higher French draws in the following years. Regular draws will be for 500+ only at this rate.

They basically maintained the levels estimated in last year’s plan for 2024-2025, without increasing it, then maintained at 2025 level for 2026. If they don’t reduce students, it will be crazy. 2 mi students a year with 500k available PR a year total.

Every post on Twitter that I see of these crybabies I counter. These cunts need to leave. There are probably a million of them already. Need to open space for new students who might be worthwhile for the country.

There is zero excuse to renew it again. They have done it like 2-3 times already and covid restrictions are all gone. Anyone on expiring PGWP now should just give up if they are that pathetic.

i wonder how many students would come if they got rid of PGWP for colleges, or made it one year only.

They basically ended the carbon tax for heating. Ending it for heating oil, which is worse for environment than gas and only Atlantic Canada uses, will be seen by any court as political and only to get votes. Provinces saying they will stop collecting tax on gas heating. It will definitely go to...

They get the best of both worlds. Get the cheap labor and when they apply for PR, receive fees and reject them for fake documents they didn’t check for initially lol.

They still do some off and on stem draws. It’s probably available because STEM is a large field with a lot of NOCs, so even though overall STEM are already a large % of regular draws/PNP, there might be some needed NOCs that they are missing.

It’s not good salary though. You can’t live in Canada on minimum wage. They have to live in slum housing and tents, to work for minimum wage and horrible quality of life. They don’t work like that for the wage, but in hopes to get PR.

I believe they already get the wanted share of STEM from regular draws.

Meh, it’s already hard for someone in status to make a living. Being out of status where you only get shit jobs, have no chance for a PR anymore and can’t use the benefits. They will probably give up sooner or later. Sucks for the pets though.

The category based draws are basically doing that now. Those who don’t have on demand experience need over 500 points. It will take time though and the government needs to let PGWP expire, or else people won’t stop coming. Things only change when it starts to hurt.

The original Lambtom is public and a somewhat okay school. Problem is, these public colleges sell their name to third party, that open a school in the GTA and their students get the same benefits. It’s kinda like a franchise for schools. The government could just remove all immigration benefits...

It’s because of the concentration. Indians make up 27% of PRs, but a much higher concentration of TRs. PRs come and try to get settled, they will spread around Canada more, while TRs concentrate in big centers with higher chance for jobs. Plus, what I’ve noticed in Toronto events is that natives...

Yeah I’m trying to learn python and SQL now to change fields into data analysis, because there isn’t much growth in mine and am tired of it. My gf works remotely as developer for a Quebec company, works 3 hours a day coding and makes 140k. The possibility of subletting my apartment and working...

I honestly don’t get what CEC wants. There are like 1mi former students on PGWP that are constantly renewing plus 1mi incoming students. While there are only 200k available PR for EE and PNP. Like even if Canada went nuts and gave all the available PRs to them, there would still be people left...

All draws now will be fore next year’s quota. Could be they are evaluating next year’s cap. Every year they release their 3 year plan, could be they reduce the plan and leave the amount it is this year, instead of raising it.
