I had 2k actually lol. But the currency went from 4 to 4,61 in the beginning of the year. It's always advisable to keep a buffer of about 1000 CAD because of fluctuating currency exchange rates.

For us that means buying parallel market and that is pretty high. Why not keep money as CAD or USD in the first place? That's what I do.
Oh that's crazy.I had 2k actually lol. But the currency went from 4 to 4,61 in the beginning of the year.
Even after sending an updated bank statement with about $1000 buffer, that changed rapidly in June and now i'll have to add again. Our exchange rate is a nightmare. I don’t even want to think of it yet.
Not feasible in my country. We have to buy from the ‘black market’ and it’s ridiculously off the roofWhy not keep money as CAD or USD in the first place? That's what I do.
Relax it won't come to that. IRCC is usually more lenient with this type of thing. If anything, they will ask for a new POF.Even after sending an updated bank statement with about $1000 buffer, that changed rapidly in June and now i'll have to add again.
Its a rat race, i want to cry.
I have reconciled with myself that i'll get an ADR or PFL but if its otherwise, then judicial review it is.
You don't have currency exchange in Nigeria? Not feasible in my country. We have to buy from the ‘black market’ and it’s ridiculously off the roof

FX transactions are restricted by the apex bankYou don't have currency exchange in Nigeria?
Thanks for your kind words . Fingers crossed.Relax it won't come to that. IRCC is usually more lenient with this type of thing. If anything, they will ask for a new POF.
Make a screenshot of that and keep it until after you submit your application. Then we can talk again ;-)I'd kill to become an applicant. Try waiting for an ITA, it drains your soul. Tbh you wouldn't see me stressing if I had an app that's going as slow as everybody else's.

I would say that the lack of communication from IRCC and the overdosis of information, rumors, etc. in forums and social media make for a terrible cocktail ;-)Yeah, I believe this is the reason for the anxiety. Being kept in the dark is never an easy situation
When there’s lack of communication from the official source, speculations, misinformation and rumour-monging is bound to happen. It’s inevitableI would say that the lack of communication from IRCC and the overdosis of information, rumors, etc. in forums and social media make for a terrible cocktail ;-)
Lol. They will get it bro. Watch and see.If they want to maintain a 400+ cutoff it would be an almost herculean task to generate another 3000 CEC when they just cleared all CECs with above 404 score last week. We’ll see though
So, you still have a RR for eligibility? I'm sure the documents you sent were attached to your file. Once an officer (not an agent) picks your file up for review, he won't ignore the updated bank statement.Well, before applying people said (IRCC on twitter inclusive) that everything is locked at AOR but turns out they used the exchange rate for the day my application was reviewed and thanks to my country's ever declining currency, i didn't meet the minimum required POF. My buffer amount wasn't enough so technically i owe them about 165CAD
I submitted Nov 24,2021 sent updated POF via webform January 11,2021 and my application was reviewed by an agent on January 18th 2021. They totally ignored the updated bank statement.
