I think that what most of the forum memebers have advised you is right that there is no need to inform about the visa refusal. Because I did not see throughout the application forms and the "CIC official guide 7000 for filling these forms" that we should mention if we have applied for visa for some other country and got rejected. For example in mine case I applied for visa in 2002 to UK but they refused to grant me visit visa because they said that I don't have sufficient funds in my bank account, but of course there is not stamp on my passport then there is not need to worry at all. CIC will not care about these types of tries to get visa.

George

Thanks .. Your help is greatly appreciated :)

CIC's background information form DOES specifically asks you if you have been refused visa to ANY country in the past. You should say YES and write an explanation about the refusal. Saying NO is lying/misrepresentation, which when found by CIC will get you banned from Canada for 2 years.

But, since you have already sent the correction, you don't need to worry anymore. Relax and wait.

Hi Everyone,

Can somebody tell me the basic difference between FSW 2014 and Express Entry 2015 ? Is it mandatory to have an arranged employment ? I mean , for example if someone easily socores 67 passing marks as per FSW , then can he apply in EE 2015 , without any other extra thing like a job offer or something ?

I know, this is not a correct thread to post this , but still , as this is the most active thread , therefor I am writing over here ... Can somebody please tell me , if anyone knows ?

Thanks,

Point scheme in the express entry is completely different from the current system. So, there will no longer be a 67 pass points. Only people with higher scores will be invited to apply. Having a job offer helps tremendously but is not mandatory. If you have high score due to other factors of your application then you will likely get an invitation even without job offer or provincial nomination. The minimum score that receives an invitation will change with every draw.

The form asks for specific VISA type rejections ONLY. Most of the confusion comes on Visitor Visa and pls understand that USA and UK countries clearly classify full time student/work permit does not come under Visitor. Visitor visa is completely different and if some has applied for a visitor visa and rejected should surely mention. Give some time explore their official websites for more details. ex: travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange.html

I just received this email from my consultant:

Any news for the FBI document? I was just checking , and it seems like CIC doesn't really want to extend the time for obtaining the police records, I know we have time just wanted to check?

My VO is Sao Paulo but he referred to CIC, not SPVO. We ordered our report to FBI on 15th Oct and they said we should hear from them in mid January. So far so good, but in case we got bad fingerprints or mail mislay (as we got on our 1st request) there wont be available time to wait for the new report and we will be out of the game after all eforts and money spent. That's frustrating and I dont know what to think.

My wife has just got an american visa and FBI is taking 3 months to give an answer. Sorry guys, just wanted to share this with you.

Good luck you us all!

hi guys,
i have been away from forum for a couple of weeks. can anybody tell when should you expect your Medical request after receiving PER email. And what is the significance of 2nd line and 3rd line update. My status on ECAS shows IN PROCESS which further says WE RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION ON XXXXXX

Second line appears when the assigned IPA opens file in GCMS and begins processing it by initiating document verification and criminality check. Upon completion he/she sends MR.

Third line appears when medical results are received and approved by CIC. Then IPA launches security check.

Fourth line appears upon completion of security checks and final determination of admissability and eligibility by IPA. As a result an applicant generally receives PPR

Avg Process Time for London VO from PER to MR is 58 days as per SS

This means verification is initiated when Second line appears. Upon completion you get MR
