I don't know why you guys are worrying so much and bearing such negative thoughts!!

I am 21st August applicant, that too for 2174!! ;D

I'll give you a little theory, first quoting 2 points from your post 1. till 20th May 200, 2. Cap will be filled by June, won't take even July apps

Now here's the thing, the Rush of apps is so high in the starting 2 weeks (say till 20 May) that seems you don't even have a clue about this, I recommend check out the Charts in the Spread Sheet for a start.. you can also download the sheet and filter the apps by your NOC and check out no. of apps each day for your NOC as well!! (eg. 23 apps alone received on a single 7th May day from sheet itself)

Anyways, let's forget this rush period and go by the standard average everyone usually uses, even if 200 is considered as average for every 15 days if not 20, Cap will still survive till mid of July!!

Moreover, since the average will not be so high post mid of May, the game will last much longer then mid of July!! If you believe me, you are totally safe!! 8)

If you don't, keep worrying till you find out!!

Even though I agree with the "initial May application rush" variable, I believe that the continued flow for 2174, even though comparatively lesser than the first 2-3 weeks in May, will be enough in the following weeks to seize it by the end of June on a conservative side.

The influx of applications in May, June and July, all over the world, is just too much for my liking. If we count starting May 5th until May 20th (while PERs are still behind by 3 to 4 days) and the CAP count of over 400, the average is too high and does not look very favorable for apps post June.

Its my gut feeling.

Its true that vo can do physical verification to confirm your work experience. But that selection is rendom basis they dont go for each and every app.

As per my Knowledge they visites personally to Amritsar, Haryana, Ahmedabad, Baroda and Anand. They might be visited some places in other cities too. But I have knowledge too.

So they can if they want. But if you have provided genuine experience letters then you do not need to worry.

FSWP – Up to 25,000 applications will be accepted. Current immigration minister Chris Alexander says that limiting the FSWP to 25,000 applications will enable CIC to devote time to dealing with the FSWP backlog before Express Entry is introduced.
FSTP – Up to 5,000 applications will be considered. There are 90 trades listed on the FSTP eligible occupations list. There are caps of 100 applications for many of these trades
CEC – Up to 8,000 applications will be accepted before the introduction of Express Entry

Hi Seniors,

I am 8th May applicant and my application has returned back on 26th Aug with reason "The employment letters from <<EMPLOYERS>> do not provide sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties".

I applied through a consultant. As per consultant, CIC rejected as I provided the self declared "lead statement for the occupational duties". CIC is accepting only a declaration from HR or some senior person from current organization or equivalent team member. He is suggested that I shall apply for different category (Database analysts and data administrators - 2172) along with a lead statement for the occupational duties.

My profile's is as (starting from current employer and latest role/designation-)

1. Assistant Consultant (But duties are more of Tech lead)
2. Project Leader
3. Application Developer
4. Trainee software engineer

My queries are as -

1. Based on the above roles for which category I shall apply?
2. I am not able to relate the reason of rejection whether it is because of unavailability of lead statement for the occupational duties from employer or I am not eligible for 2174 category or something else.
