Hi Seniors,

I am 8th May applicant and my application has returned back on 26th Aug with reason "The employment letters from <<EMPLOYERS>> do not provide sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties".

I applied through a consultant. As per consultant, CIC rejected as I provided the self declared "lead statement for the occupational duties". CIC is accepting only a declaration from HR or some senior person from current organization or equivalent team member. He is suggested that I shall apply for different category (Database analysts and data administrators - 2172) along with a lead statement for the occupational duties.

My profile's is as (starting from current employer and latest role/designation-)

1. Assistant Consultant (But duties are more of Tech lead)
2. Project Leader
3. Application Developer
4. Trainee software engineer

My queries are as -

1. Based on the above roles for which category I shall apply?
2. I am not able to relate the reason of rejection whether it is because of unavailability of lead statement for the occupational duties from employer or I am not eligible for 2174 category or something else.

Regards,
Dev
Sorry to hear about your case. First of all - never use "roles" as an indicator of what NOC fits your profile. Your duties define your relevant NOC, and your the best judge of that.

Therefore, you need to provide us with the list of your duties for us to understand which NOC you fit in.

Also - going forward, I hope you will not be using Self Declared job roles, but get a supervisor to attest for it at the minimum.

Okay. Let me get this straight: Your supervisor gave his attestation on your job reference but does not wish to be contacted for verification. Your HR does not want to give you any reference and does not want the supervisor to do the same even on a personal note?

Did you not include a cover letter stating that the reference could not be obtained from the hiring company ?

All said and done - basically both parties do not want anything to do with it. If the VO calls for verification (or has already called) - I do not see a way out.
Sorry for the confusion. My supervisor will answer the calls but I have to inform him ahead of time, since he does not, in general, answer calls with a caller ID unknown to him. The company HR officials will NOT entertain phone calls from the consulate for sure.

Company policies does not provide that kind of letters, and my manager(s) are not supposed to do so on letterhead as well. My manager, after talking to the chief department manager, drafted the letter on letterhead for me, as a personal help for me. And, I was told to not get HR involved in that. Thus, I have to make sure that the consulate does not ring up HR on that.

brother really sorry to hear this, but I m really shocked that u hired a consultant and still ur case got rejected due to this reason? your consultant is listed and recognized by cic or not? if yes then he should have helped and reviewed your job reference letter before sending it to cio. if he did not then whats the point in hiring him and wasting money on his fees? the main purpose of hiring these people are to tackle these tricky issues which they pre-assess and checks and then submit along with ur app. normally the recognized and listed consultants are experienced people and they know what type of matter must be put in job reference letter that will acceptable at cio.

go to ur consultant and give him 2 hard slaps for this blunder, I really feel sorry for what he has done with u, wasting ur time and money. I would not consider it ur mistake or ur company mistake but ur consultant's mistake, they charge heavy fees to give good services not like this wasting efforts.

any how wish u goodluck for future and hope next time this wont happens with u.

Sorry mate.

Well the reasons are self -explanatory

"The employment letters from <<EMPLOYERS>> do not provide sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties".

As you can see , substantial number of duties alone would be enough.

More alarming is that, your consultant is right. You were rejected because of self declared duties.. Not because of not having a lead statement.

15-08-2015 CAN BE ASAP AS WELL (BEFORE THAT DATE) AS I GET MAPLE PR VISA !!
mail is gentle reminder for applicants who are planning for Canada Immigration and also getting qualified for the same to complete the document part ASAP, considering the 1000application cap on each occupation.

What if I apply next year?
Canada Immigration system has been the most unpredictable in revising its rules. Initial updates suggests that Canada would have “Pool System”, under which all applicants who are scoring required points and sufficient IELTS score has picked by an Employer to obtain the visa. This process is called “Express Entry”.

Whereas, the current system doesn’t have a clause or sub-clause. If an applicant meeting the eligibility criteria by scoring the required points of 67 and the application is part of 1000visa quota, then the possibilities of obtaining the visa is the highest.
I got this mail from an consultant I enquired long back do just an Info. For all

Hi Buddy,

Dont get disappointed, your noc is not at all in rush,
Do apply again with proper roles/responsibilities defined and send the App back...instead of worrying and nagging with consultants...and ya Company's letter head/ signed by authority...not self one ;)

I am assuming you have already received PER ? If that's true, was there an email address specified in the PER/AOR for future communications with the VO ?

If there was, I suggest you send an email elaborating the case and specify clearly that the Supervisor can be contacted on whatever number he would be available.

There is no way of informing your supervisor 'ahead of time' as verification is done randomly in most cases.

But @cjg1987

even though his consultant is right in deriving that "coz of bla bla reason" this is the rejection.
Consultant must have "alarmed" him prior to sending this application

Yes sir!

Consultants are not always helpful. I don't find any good reason of hiring a consultant actually.

Many would argue consultants help to draft/check the reference letters etc. but which genuine employer would actually agree to such brushing up of letters?

Buddy,

how easy and simple is for you to describe your profile/roles/respobsibilites and but approved/signed by your authorities ?
if employer seems lazy doing in this, you can draft duties ur self under hid authority and letter head...saves ur time... :)
if that's simple - do not waste time in here and there, shoot your file again...

Hello everyone!

Is it way too late for a Registered Nurse like me to submit an application for the FSW 2014? But I have actually submitted an application for QSW last March so I dunno if it's okay to submit for both programs?

Thanks.
