Well, I just rechecked the Instructions Guide and Document Checklist. They only mentioned the need to provide reference letters but no mention of age of the letter or dating. Let's hope for the best since the letter contains the employment requirements of CIO. Cheers.om999 said:Ok...I just recalled ..not sure though ...that the date of issue of reference letter should not be more than six months at the time of applying...could you or anyone please confirm that?

Consultants are saying they will ask for fresh DD in case they do not encash it before expiry. I have my doubts. I just hope they do not return my file back and ask me to again get in the queue after getting new DD

Has CIO stopped working. I think it was a holiday for them yesterday.
But what about today ?

Why does no one go with the 3rd and the most reliable option, MONEY ORDER ? You just can't go wrong with it.
I guess this is all about the impatience of getting to know whether the application went through or not. No one will know if they charged you or not. But you can be rest assured, if your application is alright, they will get the money for sure. Otherwise, you can always en-cash back your money order.
Regards

cres_rod said:Thanks Buddy.. Its stated in the main statement for FSW in CIC website;
"at least one year of continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time) work experience in a single occupation,
within the last 10 years,"
Satyajit_r said:I disagree with you that payment by CC is safer than DD. They have clearly mentioned that the expiry date of the DD should be at least 5 months from the date it reaches CIC. So if the DD is valid for 6 months then it should reach CIC within 1 month of being issued.
