Hi Dear Fellow Members,
I need your guidance.
I made a mistake in background declaration form. My application for PR (FSW) in 2013 was refused because I could not score 67 pass marks. I have applied again this year. In background declaration form I could not notice in question no 6 they ask about the refusal of previous PR application. I answered no. In actual I should answer yes. I have provided my UCI number in the generic form. But still I am worried.
Is there any solution for this problem. Kindly help me. Thanks

I'm going to make the same suggestion as I made to another poster a few minutes ago. You already have a UCI due to having submitted a prior application. Therefore it is easier for CIC to match up newly sent documents with your current application. You can send in a new form along with a cover letter showing your UCI and explaining that you simply misunderstood/forgot/whatever on your first form and you want to correct it.

There is a difference of opinion on this. Some people think you should not send a new form. But I am offering my opinion.

Hello All,

Need your help to apply for FSW.

Actually currently I belong to NOC code 2147 ( Network Specialist ) ,

However as 2281 ( Network technician ) is present this time and as I started my career as a Network Admin where my responsibilities belongs to NOC 2281 ( in the year 2008-2010 ).

As I already get promoted as Network Specialist still am I eligible to apply for FSW this year ?

If yes, Is CIC will refuse my application as I already get promoted.

Please advise .

No problem. To apply under a NOC the only requirement is one year of continuous full time experience in that NOC within the last 10 years. It doesn't have to be your current NOC. You can still get points for all your experience regardless of NOC so long as the experience is at skill type 0 or skill level A or B.

If you would qualify under 2 NOCs you may even consider applying under both. But this requires completely separate applications including separate originals of IELTS and ECA and a second fee payment.

I prepared another envelope and wrote as well on it Additional documents - Proof of Education which I will send tomorrow morning.
I attached bachelor's and master's degree. Should I send a baccalaureate diploma or are those two sufficient?

hi all. my WES ECA status changed to "Evaluation report being prepared for delivery". how much time does i take to delivery? plz help.

It took me 1 day to have the status changed to "delivered" and u can then review your report online. My report was sent out last Friday end of the day and the UPS tracking said it will arrive my country on next Tuesday end of the day.

Nobody knows, but in my opinion no. Very few arrived on 1st/2nd May. 3rd/4th May were the weekend. The pace of receipts picked up on 5th May and many 5th May applications have not been charged yet. It is impossible to determine how fact CIC will work and what is going on over there. But my guess based on the very few facts we have, is that they may get through most 7th May applications next week.

I am a 7th May applicant and I would not be surprised at all to wait another 2 weeks for my DD to be cashed.

Hi, query on provident fund balance.

I have submitted the Provident fund balance that gets deducted from my salary every month, as the proof of funds.

Is there a challenge with the same. Please help, I am now very concerned after reading some comments on PF here.

In any case, I shall get the money back when I leave the job in India and move to Canada.

If so then it qualifies as settlement funds. Don't worry.

I second that.. Probably a case of ineligibility rather than refusal..

I can see that point of view. If that is true the answer to the question may actually be no.

U can submit below Sample affidavit for the alternate work reference/job description letter:

I am unable to obtain a letter with the job description from my employer because the HR department doesn't provide any such letter with the job duties mentioned on it. The only thing they provide with is an experience letter with the designation and the tenure of the employment mentioned on it, that too at the time of relieving. I have that letter and I shall enclose the notarized copy of the same.

I have this letter and the duties and responsibilities match as well. Just the position doesnt match...is that okay? and the letterhead does not have the email address and website and that company was dissolved 4 years ago. What should i do?

The duties are the crucial point. The title is irrelevant. But I still suggested getting a new letter with full explanation. If this isn't possible at least add an annexure explaining why the company doesn't have any contact information.

One quick question... as Canada has planned to get more professionals into the pipeline this year.. do you think the rules will not be as tight as previous years?? i am applying for the first time... i have no idea.. would love to hear from you guys..

The rules are the same as last year and it is pretty clear they will be followed. I am not sure what you mean by "not as tight," but certainly the minimum requirements of work, education, language ability and pass mark will be enforced.

Do I sent the cover letter and affidavit directly to NS or thru my lawyer.my application was sent thru a lawyer.??

As far as I know, principal applicant can communicate even though representative/lawyer is employed. So, you can communicate but also inform lawyer that you are doing so.

From secondary. For Bangladesh/Pakistan, it started from class 6, for India, it is probably start from class 8. In short, it will start after primary level education. It will be like SSE (Y to Class 10), HSE (11 and 12 class), Degree, Master.

or just the highest earned certificate (Post Secondary)
Because I see some posts mentioning the same while on the Document Checklist, it says "Secondary OR Post Secondary" , not AND
