Thanks for having this forum, I'm new to the forum as I stumble upon it after submitting my FSW 2014 applications and trying to get the feelings about the FSW program. I'll like to ask a question and I'll like someone with experience with the workings at the CIC to shed more light for me.

I applied for the FSW 2013 but was capped out and my package returned with the CIO stamp and given a UCI no. I already sent across my application for the FSW 2014 under the NOC 2131 and had already been received, this NOC is different to the one I applied for earlier (NOC 2263). I did not include the UCI no in the new application because I checked the on CIC's CAS system but did not return any information about me. My question is not putting the UCI no as well as applying under another occupation despite the fact that the letters are from the same company, and the employment timing are the same would have any implications on my application as I got to know earlier today about GCMS that stores personal information relating to clients that includes client identification (i.e., family name and given names, gender, date of birth, country of birth, etc.), contact information and history, educational and employment information.

Hi .. I dont think it would be a problem. So long you have you roles & responsibilities match NOC 2131 and reference letter from the employer. I would request you to update the spreadsheet unless which we will not be able to get a clear picture of the number of people applying. It would be beneficial to you as well.

What is the best option (Only 2 applicants Husband and Wife only- For two applicants POF required is CAD$ 14720)

1. Submit only my bank statement which is just 1 month old and all the money CAD$15000 came into my account with in a period of 20 days from my own foreign account.

2. Submit (option 1) + my spouse bank statement which has CAD$ 20000 from 1.5 year.

will there be any problem if i select option 2, as my account and spouse account has more than enough amount for two applicants. (double amount)

Both options are acceptable.
I will prefer you include both of your statements as POF.

Had one last question.
Which is the good bank to prepare DD in Nepal ? Is it alright to make DD from any bank that supports CAD ?
I was thinking of making it from NIBL.

Guys please suggest.

You can go with any banks, however spread rate slightly differs in some banks. If u r thinking of NIBL, its best choice which has slightly lower spread (ie u can save few hundred rupees)

Yes, you can make it by any bank that prepares DD for Canada. I did mine from Nepal Investment Bank,Durbarmarg .

Or should I leave it as it is , and type N/A?

There is no clear indication about removal of dependent section on the guide.

Please suggest

Yes Remove them, that is why the function/button of removing the dependent is provided.

For those who were requested by their local VO to provide an updated bank statement, how many months did they require? Anyone here who was requested for an 8 months statement? a 12 months statement? or a 24 months statement?

Is there a standard duration required by Visa Offices. If yes, then how many months?

[size=10pt][size=10pt]Forumites....guess i should try and open the floodgates of PERS for FSW 2014 applicants......don't be carried away....I actually belong to 2013 FSW but I have a form of attachment to 2014 FSW applicants.
I just got my PERS mail notification for my third application which was received on the 24th April,2014.
1st application was returned(on 27th january,2014) because of payment issues......yet to get my application back but I guess its my credit card that have issues with them.
2nd application was returned(on 4th April,2014) because my application " was deemed incomplete".....I'm yet to get it back.....but i later noticed some typo error in my background declaration form plus some irregularities in dates for my spouse.
Third application received on 24th was successful!
It took 20 days!

You need to put transcript + degree certificate in University sealed evelope. You can send them seperately but if it is not university sealed it will not be considered.

Actually I have the attested degree certificate from the University in addition to the transcripts in sealed envelope, Should the WES form be outside of University envelop or placed inside it.

2171 is your best shot now as you are eligible.
What if it's not listed in your envied expression of interest entry?
Please take your chance now as my understanding of the expression of interest,the best and exceptionally best will be chosen.
You may be qualified but not choosen simply because there are better qualified applicants in the same profession as yours.

Note that education is not considered while assessing job responsibilities. As long your duties match with respective duties of a NOC, the applicant can apply in that NOC.

If your current job descriptions merges with those of the NOC code 2232 for mechanical technologists and technicians,....and you can get reference letter for it couple with satisfying other eligibility factors for FSW,you are good to apply.
Please compare your job descriptions with NOC code 2232 and let's see their proximity.
