Hi, is it necessary to provide our National ID details? If yes do we need to translate it? As date of issue and some other information is in native language.

Please suggest
If you have a national ID document it must be disclosed. If not in English or French, it must be translated as well as certified in accordance with the application guide.

It comes out to be 68 now! I counted 20 for 8 IELTS band whereas in another thread a friend mentioned it should be 24. So now it stands at 68. Still bit confused about my funds and property. I have very very less funds. :'(
Awesome on the points. Just get your funds in order. You need settlement funds exceeding the minimum to be considered.

My application was received last May 14. I submitted 3 bank certs in my application but from time to time, I used some money in that accounts and return it immediately (the most is 10 days). I just hope that it won't be the ground for rejection. Thanks
It won't as long as the money in your account is legitimate (i.e. not borrowed). I think CIC understands people use their accounts and money goes in or out all the time. I've not read of anyone being rejected because of normal account activity. Suspicious account activity such as large amounts being transferred in at the last moment for no obvious reason, may prompt a closer look.

in this case is it ok to write NA on the expiry date section with pen after printing?
If the form will validate then yes. If not then enter the date after the day you validate and attach an annexure stating that it is intended to convey "to present."

Few questions regarding POF:
1. Can Account statement showing investment in mutual funds qualify as evidence? (the units can be sold any time we want to). Account statement is issued by the fund manager which is a company.
2. We have some foreign currency not in bank account, can that be used somehow?
3. We have some gold jewelry in our bank locker? can we attach pictures or some letter showing value of gold?

Please guide.
1. Yes.
2. It's in physical cash? If it is currency that is convertible yes you can use it. I don't know what proof would be, a photo?
3. Gold is not settlement funds as it's not a liquid asset. It should be disclosed in "assets" but not in settlement funds.

Even for the envelope, it has a dimensional (9" x 12") requirements. Sadly, my documents doesn't fit to the required size due to its supporting document. Will they understand if I use a bigger one or will it be a grounds for disqualification too?
Just use the standard courier service envelope. It's not a problem.

only liquid cash, doller, bank balance, cettificate are valid with statemnt from the official institute or bank. Jewls, proprty, bonds etc r not proof of funds
Bonds count if they are easily sold on an open public market (like government bonds or corporate bonds that trade daily).

Account statement showing value of mutual fund units?? will this qualify?? Anyone who know please guide
Yes. Mutual funds trade daily on public markets and could easily be liquidated if needed. They count as settlement funds.

This was conveyed to one of the applicants by CIC lawyer, K_b:

The FSW program looks at an applicant's educational qualification, then they look at your current work experience. Your current work experience MUST match your educational Qualification. So Your husband can not apply for the FSW program using the qualification for a degree in civil engineering while having a mechanical engineering or petroleum engineering Job title
Where is an official statement of this policy in the guide or ministerial instructions? In fact the guide states that the one year minimum of experience in the primary NOC must have come within the past 10 years. There is no requirement that it be the applicant's current occupation. Nor is there any requirement that the educational qualification match the primary NOC or current work experience.

Folks,
Request your inputs. Following are my employment details:

1. Aug-2014 to May 2011 - Industry 1, Company 1
2. May 2012 to Nov 2013 - Industry 2, Company 2
3. Dec 2013 till now - Industry 2, Company 3

Now since, I have worked in Industry 1, Company 1 for the bulk of my career, I am claiming points for Industry 1 only. I got Job responsibilities on Company 1's letter head. For Company 2 and company 3, I am simply submitting my joining letter, promotion letter and pay stub. I am not submitting job responsibility from these two company's as I am not claiming points. Is it okay or do I need to "work hard" for job responsibilities from theses two companies as well.
I think your start date for job #1 is incorrect?

You should try to get letters from all of your employers, because that is the requirement. If you can't, explain in an annexure why. Ultimately it is probably not going to give you a problem but if the local VO decides for any reason to dig further you want to be confident that you have followed all instructions as well as possible. Also you never know that you might need some points from those other jobs (which you can get even if they are not in your primary NOC), and it's easier to get points if you meet the requirements of the letter.

I do regret on my decision taken at that point of time as I wasn't knowing anything abt the procedure & just did as per the consultant.

But please advise me whether to apply with the correct information (no matter if I am rejected) but at least for future opportunities.

What do you say..??
It's good that you regret it but ultimately you are responsible for the content of your application. If a consultant encouraged you to do something dishonest, that should have immediately been a signal to you that you should fire that consultant and not pay them any money and report them to CIC.

As for re-applying or doing some future application, the fact is that you're going to have to come clean and be honest with CIC if you ever hope to immigrate to Canada even on a temporary basis. Might as well do it sooner rather than later, provide a full explanation and apology and be humble and basically beg for forgiveness. It might not work, but continuing down the path of dishonesty is basically guaranteed not to work, and to create big problems for you.

This information looks FALSE to me as its unfounded in the guidelines....if its correct, more than half of the applicants will never be qualified.....and yes I wont qualify also.
Academically I read Civil Engineering but I currently work as a Geophysicist (NOC 2113) which was what I applied for.......I don't need to be telling you that my file is on processing.
let us be careful about unfounded information been spread about without a logical link to CIC.
Cheers!
You're right. What TangoCharlie wrote in that post is completely incorrect. There is no basis for it in any official document that I have seen, and we have many counterexamples.

I am new to this forum. I was all set to go ahead and file an application under FSW using a consultant. I happened to come across this forum and it has given me the confidence to do it on my own.I want to thank asif_ee, Kollins,Century,in fact everyone of you for your valuable guidance/ inputs shared here which is really so very helpful.
I am applying under NOC 0113. I have to start with my credential assessment.(Bachelors Degree) For that....
(1) Only the photocopies of the mark lists and the Academic Transcript Request Form has to be submitted to the University to be filled/signed by the Registrar or Controller of Exams.
(2) The sealed envelope from the university along with the photocopy of the degree certificate, transcript request form,DD,all together has to be put in an envelope and send to WES. Am I right? Please guide me if I am missing something. Thank you.

DEAR EXPERTS

Another query - regarding EDUCATION this time:

How many points TWO Masters Degrees (2 years each) from Pakistan are likely to fetch??

Thanks in advance!
Raza
If your ECA assesses them as equivalent to Canadian master's degrees, then 23. Any master's is 23. The only way to get more is to have a doctorate for 25.
