Hi Ashif,

Sorry for confusions...Actually, instead of specifying the 'birth certificate', I specified 'marriage certificate'....Please see the query re-iterated, request for your advise.

Myself and wife does't have marriage certificate. Birth cetificates

1) I have 10th certificate and in that, they have mentioned my name, dob and parents name. so I think, if I get a photo copy of that and get it notrized that is enough for me - Or do I need an affidivat on top of that ? Pls advise

2) For my wife, the required 3 details are not there in the school certificates. So I believe an affidivat needs to be taken. so should the affidivt be given by her mother (father is no more) ? Or does the affidiavt needs to be self ? (Both cases, with notary)

i got it...

Hi Arjun

I had tried the British counsel for the second copy they said they don't provide second copy.
Only condition for providing second copy is if we submit the acknowledgment receipt from CIC.

Most british council will not give you second copy or another copy of your result.
In my country,you can take your entire package to them after you must have arrange your forms and documents address it.
When you take it to them,they can send your package on your behalf provided you give them the shipment cost to Canada.They will collect your package from you and insert it your original IELTS into you package(you won't see them but they will do it).
Its not a fairy tale that I narrated.....I did it twice and it was successful.

Thank you for your email.

As I previously explained candidates only get one hard copy of their original test report form and this cannot be duplicated.

However, if you wish to send your result to a receiving organisation the test centre can send your results electronically to them.

If you wish to arrange this please contact the test centre where you originally took the test.

If you no longer hold the contact details for the relevant IELTS test centre, you can find this information on the IELTS website here: http://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/

Pls advise, if below documents need to be submitted in originals or a photocopy will suffice.


1) Reference letter received from the company / co-workers / supervisors

2) Bank Certificates mentioning Proof of funds

3) Affidavit related to Spelling of my Father's name on my birth certificate

Nope brother...i a lot of discussion has already taken place on the thread...Its not NID (it seems but not actually)...So u can ignore it...

U can also take comments from more Indian applicants...(if u wish)...

Hi Kollins!

This might sound a bit silly, but I was thinking whether one can provide card details in the fee payment form as well as send them a DD. Just in case the first fails, latter can be used to charge the applicant? Anybody's done that yet ?

This is exactly what i have done and furthermore i added a paper mentioning to take the money from the CC if they face any problem with the DD.

I do not know whether this was right or wrong but just to make sure my file won't be rejected for such silly thing. :

Same query here. My birth certificate only has provision for one parent's name. It says Father's/Mother's name.

Is it sufficient?

It is sufficient as it has one parent name on it.

There is every possibility that they will ask later.
They will not ask for 6 months account (unless they specifically pick you out which i doubt).
They will only ask you to provide proof of fund for your family size at the requested time.When they ask you,be prepared to give them their response whether bank statement or statement of account ...whichever way its requested.
From experiences,they just wanna know that you have the amount in your account as at when they ask you.

I'm sure they will ask you to show an updates in your POF of fund.
Either of the two modes (statement or bank certificate)should suffice....unless they specifically ask for statement which I doubt.

Indian Nationals don't have any National Identity document yet. So tick "No" in response to the question "Do you have a National Identity document" in Generic form.

Aadhar card, Pan card, Passport, Driving license, Election card is not a National Identity document.
