if employer is not providing on letterhead then
1) just type the reference letter related to your NOC on a white A4 size paper and get it acknowledged by your supervisor
2) take a copy of photo I'd (company tag photo id) of your supervisor of your company...get it signed by him on it and do attestation
3) Get a service letter from your employee stating you have worked from so and so time with your designation
4) provide an affidavit supporting why you are not able to provide the reference letter in company letter head and attach the service letter provided along with this

Yes, a letter from one's supervisor or someone else in a position to know your duties is second best to something on official letterhead. With an explanation as to why you are unable to obtain an official letter.

Seniors, I need advice !!!

My application is already with CIC and i noticed that while filling out Personal history in Background declaration form,
I missed to fill details for one month.
I filled details like
2006 06 2007 08 Studying
2004 05 2006 04 Studying

so i missed to account for month "2006 05"

will it cause any problem?
CIC website says Important information. Failure to account for all time periods will result in a delay in the processing of your application.
Delay is OK, but i am concerned about rejection, any experience?

Nobody knows. It's important not to leave gaps. I suggest that you can update the information when your local VO once your local VO contacts you for further processing.

My Name is Dhawal Kedar. I am a Hot Air Balloon Pilot based in Pune. I have applied for TWP in LMO category on 16th April 2014 with Pune VFS. Till now haven't got any update and tracking service just says that Visa is under process with Delhi Embassy. I was suppose to join the company in Canada by 2nd week of May but till now no news. Can anyone please let me know what is the average visa process time? I have already same opportunity last year due to Visa officer strike. I don't want to loose it again. Any way i can expedite the process?

Guys any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Thanks a ton for your reply, I am filling the form on computer. However there are few column doesn't have appropriate length e.g. IMM5669E background/deceleration form, there is section for Education where we need to put city and country, but the space is not enough for this information. Please help me how to fill this.

One option it to use two lines for one entry and then continue the overflow into the next line. (But make sure everything lines up, don't start a new entry on the next line if you used it for a previous entry! Another option is to leave blank when printing and hand write.

Hi..i will be applying next week and have some doubts...
1. do i need to provide original offer letter and salary slips or photocopies.
2. I have worked with an employer for 2 months and with the second employer for 22 months. Will that 2 months of experience be counted? I have only experience certificate of this 2 months hob showing that i have worked here, my salary but i dont have pay slips and offer letter from this employer..will that be okay?
3. I am from India and on my birth certificate my name is not written... Only my father's name and my date of birth... Will that be okay or do i have to submit any note explaining this...

My spouse has been working as a staff nurse in emergency department since 2009. As compared to her duties and responsibilities with NOC 3012 'Registered nurses and Registered Psychiatric nurses',it seems that her duties just match in one or two points out of ten points. However, under 3012 there are various titles ,among them, a title of 'emergency nurse' is also included but they have not mentioned duties and responsibilities of this particular title. In this regard, would she be safe to apply to get experience points against with the number of years she has worked?

You can get experience points for any work that is in skill type 0 or skill level A or B of NOC 2011. However to apply under FSW you need a minimum of 1 year continuous experience in the primary NOC under which you are applying.

Look first of all you don't have to worry about it. It wont led towards rejection and another thing is it depends where you missed one month of information.

If it is in education section then its ok as that portion specifically asks for education only. I have it too.
But if it is in Personal history, then they might ask you to submit the updated form or once you receive AOR send them updated form along with a cover letter mentioning that you missed 1 month of information.

I was filling the forms , have some questions please help.

1 . My passport has my given name as 'harshdeep singh' and surname as blank(empty). So what should i fill in family name and given name(s) fields of generic form?? both of them are mandatory fields .i can not leave family name as blank. Write Not Applicable

2. My designation in company is Systems Engineer and my noc is 2174(which doest have this job title but JobDuties match exactly).
in EDUCATION\OCCUPATION DETAILS section of generic form, what should we write in current and intented occupation? In current occupation can i write software developer or I must write Systems Engineer(my current designation). and in intented, can i write software developer or I must write exact NOC(software developer and interactive media programmer) ? For your all cases write "Software Developer, NOC Code 2174"

3. there r certain fields in forms where I should write NA but computer not allowing me write anything(should i write after printing forms or any other solution) write after printing forms

4. In economic classes form, ques 12(your work experience), NOC is 2174 but, what must be written in occupation . Systems engineer(my designation) or exact NOC(software developer and interactive media programmer) or i can write software developer. Software Developer

5. and what is the best mode of payment? Best is Bank/demand draft, better is international Debit Card, and good is Credit Card.

If any one ca explain that in my file I shown proof of funds is approx 11500 $ by attaching ban statement. As we r 4 family members I have to show around 22000$. For balance how can I convince them or I have to resend my bank statement. Is this affect my application ?

You are required to show proof of the necessary settlement funds (liquid assets) at the time of application. This is one of the minimum requirements regardless of point total. Do you mean that you did not show such proof in your application? If not, rejection is possible. I hope they will give you an opportunity to update your proof of funds and that you will be able to show the minimum settlement funds at that time.

I am eligible to apply under two NOCs 2133 & 1123.
My IELTS results will be available only in June first week.
Can I apply for both NOCs in one application.
or can I submit 2 applications one for NOC 2133 and another for NOC 1123.
Only problem with submitting 2 applications is that I will have only one copy of IELTS score.

I have some queries again, I have deposited 18500 CAD for three of us as a settlement fund but in economic form ,I need to mention assets,liabilities and settlement fund what happens if I keep blank on liabilities column by just mentioning settlement funds? Can I also mention CAD 18500 on assets column? next, I am a bit confused about label of address . We use Devanagari script here in my country,Does it mean I should mention our script as a label of language?

You must mention all material assets and liabilities. If you have no liabilities hand write none on the printed form as you cannot fill in 0 on this form (at least it wouldn't let me do so).

If you use a script other than English for your postal service you should include one mailing label in English and one in your native script as directed in the document checklist.

Read the application guide and checklist thoroughly. If you were self-employed you should obtain a reference letter from a third party with knowledge of what you did such as a client.

Hello - Posting this for the 2nd time. I need help.

Generic Application Form for Canada - IMM0008ENU_2D
a. I am primary applicant. I am not even saying wife is fluent in ENGLISH so she isn't taking IELTS either. Under Current Occupation, I will put "Consultant" because that what she is right now in her IT company but what do I put for intended occupation for her? "House wife" or same "Consultant"? She does intend to work once if and when we are there but obviously I can't tell what job/designation she will get.

a. Under Education, for Primary/Elementary - Secondary/High School - University/College - Trade School /Other Post Secondary School, what numbers do I put? I have usual 1st to 10th in Mumbai, India. Then 11th and 12th in a junior college in Mumbai, India. Followed by 4 years B.E. in Mumbai, India and then 2 years M.S. in USA.
Should it be 4-6-8-0 or 10-2-4-2?
b. What is the "field of study" for S.S.C. (10th standard certificate)?
c. Under "Type of certificate/diploma issued", I need to say "B.E." or "Bachelors"?
d. For Personal History / Activity / Work History entered anywhere, do I put "Present" or "2014/06" when submitting application or leave it empty? There is no room for "Present" to be written.

a. Can you confirm it is only the NAMES of people which has to be written in regional language in addition to in English (not Address, Status, etc. too).

Generic form: Enter whatever she intends to do. If unsure put down the most likely thing or the thing she wishes to try to do. You won't be restricted by this later.

Background declaration:
a. Better consult an Indian poster who is more familiar.
b. I'd just say something like "secondary school"
c. What is BE, Bachelor of Engineering? B.Eng. is what I would enter.
d. Leave it empty and hand write in "present" after printing the form.

Family info: yes, just the names.
