Century...A minimum of a Masters degree is required for University Lecturers. No Nigerian University for example, can allow you teach without a masters degree. same is applicable in Canada.

Does anyone know how to contact immigration office by phone? i just called them by the call center number, the agent said they can't answer questions about economic class immigration saying CIO can only be contacted by MAIL, not email or phone.
but in this forum, i noticed many people have got answers from CIC about their application. so i'm wondering how did you manage to do that?

As I interpret, if one is currently in that country, and has got a valid 1 year work permit, and intends to be there also, he can put that VO. I think that is what future_canadian was meaning. Eager to correct myself based on facts.
The wordings read..
"your country of nationality, or
the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully
admitted to that country for at least one (1) year."

Hi All,

Is it common that CIC Sydney Nova Scotia transfer files to other CPC offices after sending PER? I got the PER last week and it states that my file is being transferred to Dakar Senegal. I am in Canada and in my application I chose CPC Ottawa for visa office. I am originally from India so my file should have been transferred ideally to CPC Ottawa as I chose that option or at max to NDVO. But I don't understand the logic behind sending file to Senegal Office. I have written a mail to CIC sydney but they have not replied anything on that. Anybody else in similar situation or is it common to send files to other visa offices apart from the chosen one in your application..?

Guys, I just called CIC via my brother in law in Canada.
The agent confirmed that FSW will stop accepting applications once Express Entry Starts.

Although ministerial instructions are still stating that its until April 30, 2015. This is not true, he also verified this information with a senior agent.
For all those still waiting to apply...get everything done ASAP before Dec 2014.

I call BS. Until there is a new Ministerial Instruction nothing has changed. A call centre worker is not going to be privvy to forthcoming Ministerial Instructions that nobody knows about.

In his recent Twitter chat, the Minister himself confirmed that FSW runs to April 30, 2015.

Dear all,
Need your urgent advice pls

Me and my wife had applied in two different NOCs,My wife got her PER on 8th Oct and mine CC got charged today i.e 22nd Oct.
I want to withdraw my application.
Pls clarify:
At what stage application can be withdrawn i.e at CIO or after getting transferred to VO?
Whether CIO or VO will inform us to withdraw one file OR we have to initiate the process. What is the withdrawal procedure.
Will i get refund or not?

You can withdraw at any time, but why not wait until one of the applications is a little farther along, and PR is more secure? At some point you will be asked to withdraw one of the applications, why not wait for that?

I'm pretty sure you cannot get a refund at this point.
