Here goes my updates...
I am May 9th applicant, CC charged on July 15th and PER received on August 14th.
After waiting for 45+ days, on October 9th I received MR, RPRF & PCC for my wife & myself.
PCC:
Attempt 1:
After getting PER, I wanted to be ready with PCC before we get an update from NVDO so booked an appointment with PSK at Hyderabad(Tolichowki) on August 28th for 2 of us. I carried all originals along with copies. Both of our passports have different address but I have gas connection (with present address) on my name but my wife doesn't have any government issued address proof (She carried a letter from her HR). I was issued PCC immediately though address on my passport is different but it was issued at Hyderabad itself. My wife was asked to produce a government issued address proof (MRO certificate or a 1 year old Bank account with current address)
Points to Note:
1. Marriage certificate is mandatory if spouse name is not endorsed on passport, though passport site doesn't mention anything about this.
2. If present address is different to what is on passport, a government issued address proof is mandatory.
Attempt 2 (For my wife):
My wife's PCC application was still pending with Hyderabad PSK for addition documents. Since we could not get any address proof for her, we applied again with a fresh application this time (on 20th October) with PSK Vijayawada as her passport has local address of Vijayawada.
This time she was asked to provide proof why she would require a PCC and luckily she was carrying the PCC request document sent by CIC which I did not have when I was issued a PCC at Hyderabad PSK. She produced the document and was issued a PCC on the same day itself.
Points to Note:
If you already received PCC request document from CIC, please carry it along with you.
Medicals: I have called both GYD diagnostics and Center for Migration Medicine but appointments were only available at GYD. Also, I read some reviews that medicals at CMM is a 2 days process and there is longer waiting period. So, I went with GYD and booked an appointment for medicals on 18th October. I took the originals passport, MR forms sent by NVDO and two copies of passport bio pages. It was a nice experience with GYD as it was quick and very organised. They charged 4100 INR per person. We were given a copy of e Medical form and a copy of the passport attested by doctor. We were asked to send only these forms to NVDO (MR forms sent by NVDO are not required).
RPRF: I walked to a HDFC bank near my office to get a DD as I was holding an account there. I was asked to get a check to make the DD. Though the DD request form has an option to pay cash for DD, they were asking for a check. After my request with the manager they agreed to issue a DD without a check. So, I made a DD in favor of "CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION" payable at NEW DELHI for an amount of 53,400 INR.
I couriered (DTDC) the MR acknowledgement forms, DD and PCC on 21st October to NVDO and the courier was delivered at CHC, New Delhi on 22nd October at 3:45 PM. Signed by SEAL CHC (Security Guard).
Questions time:
1. Do we get any acknowledgment for RPRF?
2. How long does it take to get the 3rd line on ECAS after MR?
Thank you. All the best.
