Hi All

I just finished my medical in Rubi Hall, Pune. Thought of sharing my experience.

We were asked to carry original passport, medical request form, a photograph and photocopy of 1st and last pages of passport.

As soon as we arrived, we were asked to fill in the forms (2 forms)
1. A normal form, where in you need to tick "Yes" or "No" (15-20 basic questions about your medical history.)
2. Another form is to fill your name and other personal details
Took 10 mins to fill a form.

Then we were asked to wait for few minutes to complete the registration process.
After the registration, our photo was taken and then physical examination done.
10 - 15 minutes for this physical examination - During the physical examination, doctor asked us about past medical history, and then checked out BP, height and weight.
Then we went to x-ray department and taken chest x-ray.
Then our blood was taken and asked us to give urine sample.
After that we went for eye check-up. A normal eye test and we were asked to read some alphabets.
Overall, it took 1 hour 30 minutes to complete the formalities.

As per the staff, they check Blood (Hemogram, HIV, and VDRL) Urine, Chest x-ray (mainly to diagnose TB) and ophthalmic exam (eye test). They also told me that they check diabetic
I asked the doctor and receptionist about the result but they said it's confidential but if they find any abnormality, then only they can disclose it.

After all these test, they give us the same medical request form with their seal and doctor's signature. They asked me to send it to VO and the report would go from hospital within 3 days.

Just worried a bit about the eye test. I have a medical condition called Amblyopia (commonly called as lazy eye)

Due to this, I have limited vision in one of my eye, even with spectacles I cannot read using this eye, whereas the other good eye is perfectly normally and does not have any spectacles. I know I have asked this before, but will this cause any issues with the Medicals?

Procedure to obtain UK PCC from USA.

Since no bank will give you a cashiers check or DD in pounds, you may approach your bank and ask them for wire transfer.

before doing that, contact ACRO UK customer care team and get details of the wire transfer. They will send an email to your personal ID with the details and you have to give in your details like, full name, address, how much amount etc...

After getting an email from ACRO UK , go to your bank with those details and ask them do a a wire transfer.

Once the transfer is done, you have to mentiona ref number given by ACRO UK in the email earlier, this ref No should be placed in your application payment format. There is a field for this.

Send your application as per their checklist.

I went for normal processing and one document. All this process was done in 2 weeks. I received my PCC from UK in 2 weeks under normal post and normal processing....

They are the BEST.

USA PCC was applied long back and CC was just charged

See My application received on 14th MAy2014 and till now i did noy get any mail from CIC

and even i did not get my application back physically.

My question is why they are not proceeding with my application till now if there was any problem with my file then it should come back till now .......................
SO what is the current status of my application.......??????????????


How can i know about it what they are doing as my draft will expire on 4th Nov 2014,,.........

Regarding the Marital Status for Question No:13 in Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008).

I am married and my marriage is registered legally and now I am no longer living with my wife and I haven't applied for divorce as well. In this case what shall I put my marital status as and what documents do I need to provide to CIC along with my application.

but still i did not get any mail from CIC regarding PER or something

Please let me know do u have any idea why they are not proceeding with my file

Hello Seniors,

I have already filed my application, but was having a doubt.

I have changed 3 jobs in past 10 years. I am in my current profile since past 5 years, and this is my prime occupation for NOC consideration. I have provided a reference letter with all the requirements stated in the checklist, for my current profile.

However, reference letters provided for my earlier jobs are not as per specifications of checklist and they only mention my profile name and period of employment.

I have been suggested by my consultant that since my current profile is the one I have highlighted for NOC, docs for my earlier profiles wont matter much.

Just wanted seniors' advice, if they agree with same. I know I am getting little "over cautious", but precaution is better than cure..
