Hi All,

I went to the passport office in Bangalore, India today to apply for PCC. After one whole day's waiting, the deciding authority tell me that they cannot provide me PCC for my current passport as they deem it damaged. One page of my Passport is indeed damaged because of a baggage leak but the pages that matter are all intact. I have actually flown to the US and countries in Europe with this damaged passport. The option that I have now is to apply for a new passport. I have been wanting to do that as my old one expires in 2016, I need to add spouse details, change my address and get rid of the damage, of all the reasons.

I applied for FSW 2014 and my app reached CIO on June 5th. Please let me know your advice in this matter. Should I go for a re-issue of passport at this juncture where I am expecting my application to be processed sometime next month? Do you see any consequences of this? Looks like i will need a new passport for PCC anyways.

Re: Submitting 2 applications under 2 NOCs - have some questions

1. Brother, CIO themselves asked applicants to apply multiple occupations if eligible. There is no option but to select the intended occupation against the NOC someone apply. It is not at all misrepresentation - at least in this case. So for your two application, you have to select two intended occupation. You can contact World Citizen who successfully received 2 PERs against 2 NOCs.

2. As said in many times, while assessing experiences, educational qualification and requirements are not considered and not linked at all.

3. If you wrongly select a wrong "Current Occupation", you can rectify it in the new application.

Guys, sorry to post the same thing for the third time, but I desperately need your advise on my issue. I won't have a second chance! Dear seniors, please-please express your opinion on my matter. Thanx in advance.

CIC document on this topic is very clear. if a person has 2 bachelors degree and same has been evaluated by WES as bachelors degree of 3 years or more he will get 22 points. WES will not write 2 bachelors degree and you get 22 points on the report. They have nothing to do with points or how points are calculated.

Some of the members have been going on about a simple thing all day and its leading to confusion among some ppl.

I see that there is a rejected app of 26th May in SS. It was returned on 18th Aug. So if CIC was checking 26th May apps 20 days back any idea what dated apps they are checking now... Are they checking June first week apps now????

Do we receive our original ielts result back after processing of application or CIC dont return any documents.

If cap update of today, shows over 300 new apps than it is safe to assume it is based on completeness check and not PER. What you guys think. According to spread sheet a 26th May application is returned. So they probably done the completeness check for May by now and move to some point in June.

May be it was arranged employment or PhD program. Now CC is being charged for 23rd May

You can apply for PCC directly from the police station. In the meanwhile you can apply for reissue of passport under Tatkal service. Since CIC is still working on May 20 - May 25th apps, there is a huge possibility that you will receive your new passport before the passport request and you can update the VO about the change in passport number and other details.

PS: If applying under Tatkaal service, please get all the affidavits applicable to you specially Annexure F even if they state they are optional.
