Requirement toward renewing PR card and requirement towards applying for Citizenship are two different things. You were first talking about days spent outside Canada with Canadian spouse (if working for any employer outside Canada) count towards citizenship, and now you are telling me that its requirement for PR card renewal/PR extension. :-XGensch said:JUST READ THE OPERATIONAL MANUALS FOR RENEWING YOUR PR CARD. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DAYS YOU SPEND OUTSIDE CANADA WITH THE EXCEPTIONS I MENTIONED WILL COUNT TOWARD YOUR RESIDENCY BUT NOT TOWARD YOUR PHYSICAL PRESENCE REQUIREMENT IN CANADA FOR CITIZENSHIP. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO RENEW YOUR PR CARD AT THE END OF FIVE YEARS BUT NOT QUALIFY FOR NATURALIZATION UNDER THE 4/6 RULE WITH THESE EXCEPTIONS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF DAYS SPENT IN CANADA FOR NATURALIZATION.
One request to you my friend. Can you please fix your CAPS because it feels like you are shouting. Thanks
